"But—" ( I know about werewolves, you dumbass. Actually, I know about everything! ) Before she could continue her sentence, Scott and his friend were long gone. She sighed hopelessly and moved on to her first class. English.
When she entered the classroom, the only vacant seat was behind Scott's friend. Releasing a defeated sigh, she made her way behind him and took a seat. As soon as she got somewhat comfortable, he turned around, wide eyed, and a scowl on his face.
"I don't know where you got the idea that we know about werewolves, but we don't. We are just normal people. NORMAL!" He blubbered, pointing his pencil aggressively at Amelie.
She furrowed her eyebrows at him, leaning towards him. "Dude, Isaac is my best friend. Did you honestly think that he wouldn't tell me that he's a werewolf and Derek Hale is his Alpha, that Allison Argent and her dad hunt werewolves and Lydia Martin is a psycho who can hear voices that aren't there?" He pursed his lips at his words, you could almost see steam blowing from his ears. "Exactly, so shut up and turn around, whatever the hell your name is."
"It's Stiles." she heard a murmur.
"What?" she whispered.
"Huh?" The brunette turned around again.
"You said something, right?" Amelie asked, and he shook his head. "Then, what's a Stiles?"
"That would happen to be me. That's my name," He awkwardly smiled, raising his hand to rub the back of his neck
"Oh," she pouted. She could've sworn she head someone talking to her, whispering in her ear those words. If it wasn't Stiles, then who? Looking around her, everyone seemed to be minding their own business. Maybe it was her imagination. That wouldn't be the first time anyway.
Suddenly, her phone rang. Holding up her phone, a voice echoed through the classroom. "The offing was barred by a black bank of clouds and the tranquil waterway, leading to the uttermost ends of the earth, flowed somber under an overcast sky, seemed to lead into the heart of an immense darkness." The teacher, whom she'd never seen or heard of before, read aloud the sentence. She was a beautiful woman, with auburn hair that just passed her shoulders. "This is the last line to the first book we are going to read. It is also the last text you will receive in this class. Phones off, everyone."
Reluctantly, the entire class turned off their phones. A sinking feeling arose in Amelie. Something told her not to turn her phone off, like someone was going to try and reach her. Her mom was at work, being the life-saver she was. She worked at the hospital, being one of the most well-known surgeons in the county.
A few minutes pass, and she could hear Stiles and Lydia Martin converse. He was asking her about a bite her bag gave her. As she doodled in her journal, she heard a bang against the window, shaking her into reality. Miss Blake slowly stepped towards the window, which had a splash of oozing blood. Out of nowhere, herds of black crows came crashing into the classroom and screams filled the place.
"Get down! Everybody, get down!"
Amelie cried out as a crow pecked at her. Her eyes were closed shut, trying to control her breathing and not to scream for help like all the other students. She could feel a hand grab her wrist and pull her to their side. She opened her eyes to see none other than the infamous Allison Argent. They covered each other, yelping every now and then when a crow was too close.
Then, it was quiet.
Hesitantly, Amelie stood up, reaching out her hand for the Argent girl who helped her, offering her a grateful, yet wary, smile. Allison took it and stood next to her, dusting off her skirt. "What the hell?" she whispered, mostly to herself, then she looked at the brunette. "I've never seen anything like this happen before." The aftermath was a disaster. Papers flew around the room, and mostly everyone was injured. Desks scattered messily, chairs broken down. Amelie released a sigh she didn't know she held in.
