Boiling Point (Tahno x Reader)

The Finals

Bolin is open, so you take a shot at him. He launches a disk and it ricochets off the ropes straight into you. You quickly get up and watch as Tahno relentlessly attacks Bolin. It should have been a foul, but Bolin is knocked into the third zone and nothing is said about the dirty play.

Mako complains to the ref while your team advances forward. You go defend an attack from Korra while Ming attempts to trip Bolin with another dirty play. You've backed the Fire Ferrets up to zone three. Tahno nods to you and you take the hint. He shoots ice across the floor, causing Bolin to slip out of the ring and you quickly melt it away. Ming hits Korra and while she's stunned, Mako goes to defend her giving you the perfect opportunity. You send a blaze of fire straight at them knocking them both off.

Tahno picks you up and spins you around in celebration while you laugh.

"Hold on a second, folks! The Ferrets are still alive, but just barely!"

You turn around and see Korra's hand still holding onto the edge of the ring. Before you can react, she swings Mako up and he takes a shot at Tahno who gets thrown back a zone. The bell goes off signaling the end of the match.

Round two starts and Mako comes straight for Ming. You go to defend him, but Bolin sends you flying back. Out of anger, you shoot straight at his head and get away with it. It's announced that round two will be decided with a tie breaker and you all gather in the middle for the coin toss. The Fire Ferrets win the coin toss and they choose fire. Mako stares you down the whole time. Tahno gives your hand a squeeze and steps back.

The middle of the ring rises putting you and your brother on a platform.

"Mako, I don't want to hurt you" you plead.

He sends a blast of fire at you in response. You slide back from the force, but keep your balance. You shoot at his feet, but he jumps over it.

"I'm sorry" he whispers.

This distracts you for a second which lets Mako send the final blow to your chest. You go flying off the platform and Tahno rushes over to you. He tries to help you up, but you shrug him off and get up yourself. You were mad before, but now, you're beyond pissed.

You get back into position and round three starts. Ming ducks and you flip over him sending a flaming kick at Bolin. Tahno blocks a blast from Korra and you send fire back at her. In the crowd, you find the owner of your team staring down at Ming and Tahno. He nods to them and you watch as they break the disks and wrap the rocks in water. The rocks immediately knock out the Fire Ferrets and you take the championship.

You rip off your helmet and jump into Tahno's arms. He showers you with short soft kisses.

"Umm, guys" Ming interrupts.

You hop down and look where Ming is pointing. Beams of electricity flash through the crowd and people drop. Screams come from the water below and you run to the edge of the ring. Your brothers and Korra are electrocuted through the water and you yell down to them. You go to jump after them, but Tahno pulls you back.

"You'll get yourself killed. They'll be fine"

Your turn around and see Amon and his chi-blockers standing at the other side of the ring. They start to walk toward you and you grab Tahno's hand pulling him back. You, Tahno and Ming walk back until you reach the edge. There's nothing else to do but fight.

The fight doesn't last long seeing as there are three of you and like twelve of them. You struggle against the chi-blocker in front of you. Ming and Tahno have already been restrained and you're the only one left. The rest of the chi-blockers close in on you as you do your best to avoid their jabs. You suddenly remember a fire bending move your mom told you about before she died. You take a deep breath in and breathe fire out of your mouth knocking out all of the chi-blockers.
