Boiling Point (Tahno x Reader)

The Finals

You look over to Amon who has his hand raised above Tahno's head. You make a split second decision and run toward Tahno. You shove him out of the way and land directly in front of Amon.

"(Y/n), no!"

You hear Tahno's shouts as Amon looks down at you.

"Such a powerful fire bender. It's a shame, really" Amon's voice fills your ears.

His hand comes in contact with your head and you feel half of your energy drain. But only half. Something's not right. Everyone else you heard about that had their bending taken collapsed immediately, but you're still upright.

You focus on one of the disks behind Amon and it rises. You jerk your head back and the disk comes flying at Amon. It hits him in the back of the head, temporarily stunning him. While he's regaining his composure, you grab Tahno and Ming and swing them onto the platform below the ring.

Once you jump down after them, you take off their restraints. Tahno wraps you in a hug and you slump against him. Even having half of your bending ripped out of you drains a person.

"(Y/n)" you hear both your brothers shout in unison.

Still leaning on Tahno, you turn to see them and Korra tied to a pole. You try to take a step toward them, but immediately collapse. Tahno goes to pick you up, but you stop him.

"Please, free them... for me" you plead.

Tahno kisses the top of your head and goes to untie them. Ming picks you up and takes you over to Korra. While Tahno unties her, she uses the water around her to heal you and restore as much energy as she can. Once you feel back to normal, minus fire bending of course, you wrap your brothers in a big hug.

"I still don't like him, but I'm not mad. I love you" Mako says while his tears wet your hair.

"As long as he's good to you, I'll put up with him" Bolin smiles and you smile back.

"So what happened up there? Why were you so weak" Mako asks concerned.

"She stupidly sacrificed herself and got her fire bending taken. Her earth bending is still strong as ever though" Tahno answers for you.

"Hey, my 'stupid' sacrifice saved your bending" you say with your hands on your hips.

"Yes it did and I love you, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't stupid"

"I'm going after Amon" Korra announces, interrupting the moment.

"I'm coming too, and no, you can't stop me" you run after Korra.

You stop before earth bending yourself up and turn to Tahno.

"Oh, and I love you too"

And with that, you shoot upwards on a pillar of rock. You jump up and grab onto one of the ropes handing down from Amon's airship. Korra is hanging next to you shooting fire into the ship. You look at the glass ceiling of the arena and an idea pops in your head. Glass is made of sand, which is earth, so...

You pull your hand back and flash shards rise from.

"Holy shit" you whisper to yourself.

You push your hand out and the glass shoots at the chi-blockers on the roof. Korra drops onto the roof and you follow suit. She blocks Police Chief Beifong from and attack while you form glass balls and smash them on people's heads.

Beifong shoots one of her metal ropes up at the airship and latches on. Just as she reaches the ship, the glass below Korra cracks. You try to bend it back together, but apparently that's not a thing you can do. Korra falls through the glass and you scream after her. Beifong hears your yelling and dives after Korra.

You let out a sigh of relief when she catches her and swings to safety. Looking down, you realize you're kinda stuck on the roof. Then, you see Tahno rising toward you in a sort of water tornado.

"Jump, I'll catch you! I can't hold this much longer" he shouts.

You squeeze your eyes shut and jump through the hole in the roof. After falling for a few seconds, strong arms wrap around you. He takes you over to where Korra and your brothers are.

Korra runs over to you and hugs you.

"That was incredible! I didn't know you could bend glass!" She cheers.

A chorus of confused questions come from the three men behind you.  You find some glass shards around you and form it into a small Pabu figurine.

"Holy shit" Mako mutters.

"I said the same thing" you laugh.

"So, everyone knows about your earth bending now" Tahno says from behind you. He wraps his arms around your waist and rests his chin on your head. You lean back into him and sigh.

"Yeah, but I'm not a bibender anymore"

"I don't care. You're still my fire lily" he whispers after kissing your head.

"Ok, that's enough. Stop getting handsy with my little sister" Mako says sternly.

"Aww, leave them alone. I think it's innocent and cute" Bolin defends you and you send him a grateful smile.

"Innocent? You should see her when I-"
