"Angel, it's me!" I take off the black, nerdy glasses. She furrows her eyebrows as she studies me. Her eyes open widely once she gathers her thoughts. "M-Mommy, is it Halloween?"

"No, baby. I just can't show my face, you will get it one day."

"You look beautiful as always. I got to admit her question was pretty funny though, she's so innocent," Asher jokes.

"Is it that believable though? It's been weeks since I tried it on, I may have forgotten a couple of stuff," I say as I check myself on the front view mirror.

"Well, you look just like I met you. If I didn't know the truth, I would assume nothing," Asher reassures me.

"I hope you're right. Anyways, do you think the mall will be packed?"

"Probably. It's almost always full, even if it was a Monday."

"Okay then, we have one priority. We have to keep an eye on Maya at all times," I point out. It would be concerning if we lost Maya during the day, especially after adopting her yesterday.

"Maya, you make sure to stay with mommy or me at all times. If you can't see us for some reason, just yell," Asher says the last part unsurely. I laugh at his suggestion.

"It's the best I could think of too. Hopefully, the yelling isn't necessary," I hope.

"Okay, m-mommy and daddy!" Maya smiles.

"Well good news for Maya, we are here!" Asher points to the big building in front of us. I've been here so many times but I must admit, the size of it always surprises me.

"Yay!" Maya yells in her car seat.

"Yay indeed..." I say unsurely. We were definitely going to lose someone, if it wasn't Maya, I would bet it would be Noah.

"Relax, we got the guards to help us too," Asher places a hand on my thigh. I grab his hand as comfort. I was probably overthinking again.

Asher takes about fifteen minutes to find a parking spot. The mall was packed just by judging the parking lot. I can't imagine what the inside sounded like. Once Asher turns off the car, I get out to help Maya quickly.

"Angel, you need to walk here all the time, no running," I say as she jumps out of the car. She nods excitedly as she peeks through the windows. Asher places his arm around my shoulder as reassurance once again, I felt safer. The rest of the group was walking towards us, the guards behind them.

"Can we go to the rides first?" Noah pleads.

"We came here for Maya, not for you," Amelia states.

"Maya choose the rides! I'll buy you ice cream later if you do~" Noah bribes her.

"I thought Noah couldn't get any more childlike," Ethan shakes his head.

"I choose the rides!" Maya exclaims ignoring Ethan's statement.

"This is why Maya is better than Ethan and Amelia," Noah sticks out his tongue playfully. He picks up Maya in one quick move and places her on his shoulders. She squeals as she looks at how high up she was.

"Look it's Asher!" a teenage girl screams out of nowhere.

"Yup, we better start walking!" Asher pulls my hand towards the mall entrance. I turn to look at the girl, she was running to catch up. Luckily, the guards started getting to their places. However, by the time we reached the door to enter the mall, we had a group of people on our trail. This was going to be interesting!

"These came out so cute!" I cooed as I saw the pictures of Asher and Maya. They had just come out of the small rollercoaster that Noah suggested she could try. Maya loved it too much, she wanted to go again. I place the newly printed photos in my purse, noting to frame them later.
