Apple, orange or coffee?

I heard footsteps racing down the stairs and was graced with the sight of a perky blonde, holding up matching black lingerie, black trousers and a black polka dot blouse.

I smiled and took the clothes from her arms and gestures towards the table next to me.

"Orange juice please." She asked, smiling adorably and I walked to the fridge where i pulled out a jug filled with orange juice and placed it on the table.

She smiled and I walked through the door into the living room and changed quickly.

I walked back into the kitchen and smiled as I breezed past the blonde who was devouring the meal I had prepared for her and skipped the stairs, two steps at a time.

I put my clothes from the night before in the wash before walking back downstairs, grabbing my handbag in the process and drinking my coffee.

"How come you aren't eating?" Charlotte asked and I turned round to face her, seeing her eyebrow raised.

"Oh i never really have breakfast, I'll eat later." I smiled genuinely. It was true, I never had an appetite in the morning.

Charlotte finished her breakfast and slipped her new coat over her body.

"I'll wash up when I get home don't worry about the plate." I assured and she nodded, picking up her handbag.

We walked outside of the house, the bitter air slapping against our faces. I unlocked the car door for Charlotte to get in the warmth as I locked my front door.

I joined her in the car and we started driving to the university campus.

Charlotte was in the seat next to me, I assumed she was texting Eliza since she hadn't arrived home last night.

"How is she?" I asked, my eyes focussed on the road.

"Eliza? She's good, a bit worried I'd been kidnapped but she's good." She giggled and I nodded in understanding.

We pulled into the car park of the arts department, even that was aesthetic and I stopped the engine.

"Okay, you disappear before anyone suspects anything because to them, you're a student and I'm a professor." I explained and she nodded, giving me a quick kiss before vanishing from the seat next to me.

I decided to check my phone and read the messages I'd received from the group chat in the last 18 hours.

The messages, for once, were mainly just Chyler and Melissa bullying Nicole playfully and Andrea making adorable remarks.

It was plainly obvious to me now that Andrea and Charlotte were related, their behaviour and attitudes were very similar, let alone their looks.

After I was sure enough time had passed since Charlotte had walked through the entrance to the university building, I grabbed my own handbag and escaped the metal confinement that had suffocated me.

I locked my car and walked through the double doors until I reached the lecture theatre.

Unsurprisingly, Charlotte was the only student in the room as I had wanted to get here early, I never want any students unattended in my theatre.

I decided to use this opportunity to ask Charlotte about her project, as I spent most of my time with her and wondered if she'd started anything.

Charlotte explained her whole plan. She had been given a fairytale script that had a very dark storyline. The group had met on a few occasions and Charlotte would be portraying the role of a fairy that tried to manipulate a human.

She showed me some designs in the sketchbook she carried in her handbag and I was astonished at the sheer talent the woman had.

I had listened to other students who had arrived early to lectures in the past talk about their short films but none of them sounded as interesting as this.

We kept talking until the theatre began to fill with other students and Eliza arrived, last as usual and glanced knowingly between Charlotte and myself with a smirk, before taking her usual seat next to her best friend.
