Chapter- 23

"Its behind us" A disciple said. Everyone unsheathed their swords. "We know that!" someone shouted.

Their eyes followed the sound of the crawling of the creature.

"Is it a huge snake or something?" Someone said in low voice.

"I guess so." Another disciple replied, "Its crawling."

The female disciple knitted her brows, "Something's off."

"Hmm" Jin Ling said, "its not attacking us. Also, I can't sense any killing intent from it."

"Thats right."

"If it doesn't wants to kill us, then I'm going to go check it out." A disciple said. He stepped forwards and walked towards that unknown snake like creature with a sharp shining sword on full show that he held in his hand.

"Wait-" Jin Ling was about to stop him. But that guy walked fast. When he had only opened his mouth that person had already reached bushes and when he said 'wait' he had already disappeared into the bushes.

Nevertheless, they had guessed that wathever was there behind the bushes wasn't harmful. At least the guy who volunteered to step first thought.

"AAHHH-"

"??!!!"

"What was that?! Yunsheng??!"

So, the guy who had just bravely stepped first to go to check was named Yunsheng.

"What happened to him?!" the disciple who had called his comrade's name from before said.

Jin Ling forwned.

"Calm down Jin Ye." The female disciple said to the disciple.

"Lets go and-"

But before he could finish his sentence a shadow leaped out of the bushes.

It indeed looked like a snake but it was different from that kind of species. It had azure scales, wishkeres and fangs extended. It's tail was sharp and poisonous.

Roarrrrrrrr!!!

It roared with its might!

"Wait. Did it roared just now?" Jin Ye said with a dumbfounded expression, "Its still a baby? Sangze what do you say?"

The female disciple was named Sangze. She said, "Its indeed small but its nit a baby. It is atleast two-three years old."

They didn't even get enough time to talk when that snake like creature lashed upon them.

"What this thing?!" Jin Ling asked as he douched the attacks.

"Its a sea dragon!" Sangze replied.

"A dragon?!" Everyone was jolted.

"Its precisely not a dragon. But a branched family of this species." She said while climbing upon a tree.

The other disciples climbed upon the tree as well. As they didn't had any information about how a sea creature reached a mountain. Above that not any hululu being but a species of one of the mightiest being- dragon. So, it wasn't a nice idea to recklessly attack it.

What if there was someone else behind the scheme? The Jin clan had been extra cautious regarding these kinds of matters since the incident with Lian Feng zun the former Sect Leader Jin Guang Yao.

Jin Ling was still running. He was about to leap up to climb a tree. But unfortunately, the roots above the earth's crust were too big and literally everywhere.

His foot got stuck and his forehead hit the trunk with a THACK! And he feel down.

"Sect Leader!" Everyone shouted from their place

This was really very embarrassing! And at the first place why were they even climbing this stupid tree?! They just followed what Sangze was doing without any thoughts?! It wasn't like this dragon or whatever can't crawl up on the tree. It could easily do it!

That painful bump with the tree really knocked some sense in him.

But it was already late. That Sea Dragon had already reached him with his mouth wise open. Those fangs sharper than any swords and a furious blaze in its eyes were on full display.

Jin Ling tried to reach for his sword only to find an empty sheath. When he fell earlier, his sword gad already fell two metres far.

Now, he was in danger.
