|28| Weird Drawing

"Alex!" Kiko yells.

"I need to go. Kiko usually braid my hair," Alex says and runs towards Kiko.

After a few minutes, everyone starts to warm up. You were still nervous and anxious but you were doing alright. You look at the other team and observe them. They were calm, collected and ready to play. 

You look at your team and see them smiling and them being them. Jen being lazy as she always is. Yuna being the leader everyone listens. The twins being the emotional supporter of the team. The first years helping around and practicing with their upperclassman. Kiko letting her blockers and spiker know that she's there and to trust her. Alex being the kind, sweet girl she is.

Seeing them act all okay calms you down a little. This is a great team but your fears are alway getting the best out of you. Your afraid what happened with your last team will happen with this one. 

"(Name)!" you hear your name being called. You look around and then notice someone.

Lilith.

She waves at you with a smile but she wasn't alone. The male's volleyball team of the school she goes to are here too. "No..." you hear. You look to your side to see Alex.

You wave back to be nice, "You okay?" you ask Alex.

"My cousin," she tells you, "My cousin is here," she adds she starts panicking.

"Hey, calm down. Who's your cousin?" you ask her as you face her completely but also forgetting how her cousin looked like.

"Remember the practice match the boys had? And the other team did this crazy quick attack?" she ask and you nod, "The guy with the black hair, that's my cousin," she says as she point at her cousin the the audience.

"Isn't he a first year?" you ask as you look at him and she nods.

"Yes, but I'm always compared to him all the time," she says.

"Volleyball felt something you needed to do because he did it?" you ask and she nods, "I don't know if he's a great player or not. What I've seen, he has skills but you're also good Alex. Everyone has their own talents. You're going to play and show to him that you are your own person and that there's nothing to compare," you tell her which made her smile.

"Twenty seconds, right?" she ask which made you smile.

"Twenty seconds."

"Girls! Huddle up!" Mr. Lee, the coach yells. The girls huddle up and all listen to what he has to say, "I have our starting line up here. Alex, you'll be bench for--"

"Put me in the game," Alex says which surprised everyone, "Please, put me in the game. I can do it. I'm fine," she says and Mr. Lee smiles.

"Alex, Jen and Yuna, you'll both be up front but these will be your positions," Mr. Lee says as he shows the board he's holding. "More Twins, you're both up back with (Name). (Name) we got the first serve, you're serving, let's give it our best," Mr. Lee says and everyone cheers but you didn't.

Your eyes were widen and you were in fear. You starting the serve. Your hands are still shaking, you won't get it over. This is what is going to bring you down. The scenarios are playing in your head and none of them were good.

"Hands in!" Yuna says and everyone puts their hands in and do their cheer. After doing the whole bowing and shaking hands with the other hand and referee, everyone was in position but you were still in a panic.

You were behind the line. The ball is giving to you. Everyone is cheering. You hear your school doing this chant, the boys are cheering as well and you knew your siblings were too but you couldn't raise your head.
