I collected my ingredients and began on my potion still processing 'mione's information, when I heard Harry laughing and my curiosity peaked.

"What's that on your neck" Harry pointed and laughed, oh shit.

"Nothing" Ron humphed and pulled up his collar.

"I think someone's been having a little fun" Harry smirked and shot me a look.

"Shut up" I said smiling and looking at Ron who was blushing.

"You need to ask her already" Harry said in a sing song voice.

"Ask me what?"

"Don't worry love" Ron glared at Harry who just smiled.

Truth is, I knew exactly what it was. I had been talking to 'mione ever since the office situation. Every time we got close or he asked me to sit with him at the Black Lake I thought that was the moment. But not yet, it's definitely taken him a while, in some ways it makes me doubt the relationship, I just need to remember that he'll have to ask me at some point. I was thinking about asking him myself but it seems I initiate everything else so it was his turn.

"Okay" I answered, I didn't want to bring it up at risk of him asking me in bloody potions class.

All of us sat for dinner at the end of lessons. Hermione was talking to Luna about something, which I assume was definitely a conversation I did not want to be involved in. Harry was talking to Ginny and the twins about a new joke shop that they were planning to open.

I sat staring at Ron shoving whatever food he could find into his mouth.

"You're great conversation" I said sarcastically.

"I eing" Ron mumbled.

"How am I supposed to understand what you say when you have a mouth full of food" I rolled my eyes playfully.

He swallowed the large amount of food in his mouth "I said i'm eating"

"Well I can bloody see that" I shook my head.

"I'm sorry, i've nearly finished and then I want to take you somewhere" he smiled.

"Okay, but if you eat with your mouth open once more I won't be coming" I joked and he shovelled more food into his mouth.

"I'm finished" Ron announced.

"Okay well lead the way" I smiled.

Ron stood up as did I, we walked out of the Great Hall and he lead to the Black Lake. It had become our favourite spot to get some time together and mostly kiss to be honest.

I sat down against the willow and appreciated the clear skies. The stars shone especially bright against its orange tinge.

"Hey" Ron smiled whilst turning to face me.

"Hi" I laughed and turned to look at him.

"Okay so I have something important to ask you" he was starting to fidget on his robes, which I knew to be his nervousness.

"Okay" I placed my hand on top of his in hopes of calming him down.

I think this was the moment, I think he was going to ask me.

"Okay here goes," he took a deep breath "I wanted to ask you if you would help me study for a potions test" he smiled.

"Are you kidding me?" I raised my eyebrows and pushed his shoulder. Idiot.

"You brought me all the way out here to ask if I would help you with a bloody test"

"Yes?" he almost questioned himself.

"Your such an ass" I humphed.

"I'm kidding, i'm kidding" he held his hands up in defence "well i'm not kidding I do need your help, but that's not why I asked you here" the nerves almost immediately came back.

"If it's another test I will walk away with no hesitation" I warned.

"Well first I just wanted to say how amazing you are and how lucky I am," he smiled nervously and I mirrored this. "I want you to be my girlfriend if you want to obviously" he studied my face in hopes of an answer.

I put my hand upon my chin as if I was thinking "Hmmm i'm not sure, what's in it for me?" I asked.

"Me of course, what else would you need?" he smirked.

"That seems like a pretty good deal," I smiled "yes Ron I would love to be your girlfriend, it's not as if I haven't been waiting for this moment since our first kiss" I rolled my eyes and a stupid smile spread across my face.

"Really!" he shouted and I laughed getting closer to his face.

"Really" I smiled and he pulled my head towards him - so that our faces were now extremely close.

He placed a kiss upon my lips and smiled into it.

We laid back onto the willow both of us grinning crazily.

"I can't believe you said yes" he laughed.

"Well why wouldn't I?" I shook my head.

"It took me ages I thought you'd lost interest" he joked.

"I mean I was starting to think Crabbe was fit but you've picked my interest back up" I nudged him.

"Bloody hell i've got some competition then" he joked.

"It did take you ages though" I raised my eyebrows.

"I was nervous!" he protested.

"Not nervous enough to not eat though" I jabbed.

"Shut up" he smiled.

"Wow not a great way to start our relationship" I shook my head and he shoved me lightly.

"I love you y/nn - forever" he again held my face.

"I love you too - forever" I kiss him this time more passionately.
