Date Set-Up

I started setting up the table before they arrived.

[ • Later, 6:57pm • ]

The table was ready and Firey and Rosemary should be here any minute. I sighed happily and went into the back, "I got it done." I smiled. Pin heard me and raised a brow, "The date?"

I nodded my head, "Yeah, they should be here any minute now."

I later heard the door open in the front and I peeked out of the kitchen to see who it was. It was Firey and Rosemary.

"They're here." I announced to Pin. "Great, you can help them." Pin smiled.

"Why me-"

"Because you set up the date in the first place, duh." Pin rolled her eyes and giggled.

I sighed, "Fine.."

I walk up to the front and see that they are talking to GB. I walk over and nervously smiled, "Hey, Firey and Rosemary!" I greeted in the most joyful tone.

"Hey, Leafy." Firey greeted back.

"Uhm.. hey.." I saw Rosemary rolled her eyes when she saw me.

"Follow me, I got your table set up already!" I smiled and made them follow me to their table. "Take a seat." I assisted. They sit down and I smiled. They start reading through the menu that was already on the window and I just stood there patiently.

"Uhm.. what's the Sugar Cup Surprise Drink?" Firey asked.

"It's a beverage that kind of has a lot of sugar and some fruits and added some delicious flavor to it. That's what makes it a surprise." I smiled.

"Oh. Maybe I'll get it." Firey smiled softly at me and placed down his menu. I kind of blushed a little when he smiled at me, "Uhm.. of course!" I said and wrote it down on my notepad. I looked at Rosemary and it seemed like she didn't like it when Firey talked to me, no surprise there really.

"What about you, Rosemary?" I asked in a polite tone even though I never wanted to be nice to her.

"Ugh, I suppose I'll get water. Since the drinks here are nowhere near good." Rosemary scoffed and looked away from me.

"Uhm.. okay." I wrote it down on my Notepad.

"I'll have it out." I smiled and walked away. I walked in the back and Pin was still pretty busy. I told her about the beverage orders and we started making them.

...

I brought out the drinks and placed them on their table. "Are you guys done ordering?" I asked as I tilted my head with a smile on my face.

"I'll just have what I had here yesterday, the Lava Fudge Cake." Firey smiled and grabbed my hand. I was so confused- why did he grab my hand!? I blushed a little and giggled.

"Oh, you play around too much." I laughed and snatched my hand away from his, he started chuckling.

I looked at Rosemary and she looked super pissed. I suppose any physical interaction with me and Firey makes Rosemary the most pissed person ever. "What about you, Rosemary?" I asked.

"I'll have nothing. The food isn't even great here anyways." Rosemary looked away again.

"Uh.. okay." I went in the back again and me and Pin did Firey's order.

I came out again and I kind of saw Firey and Rosemary talk, but it didn't seem like a friendly talk. I placed the tray on the counter and kind of eavesdropped in their conversation.

"Rosemary, you know you can't talk to my friend like that. Could you at least be a bit nicer?" Firey asked in a soft voice.

"Ugh.. you tell me that everywhere we go! I'm trying!" Rosemary scoffed.

"Please, I'm begging. You're embarrassing me everywhere I go-"

"Oh!? So I'm an embarrassment to you?! You're lucky you're with an amazing, lovable, and talented girl! Your parents wouldn't be too happy about hearing you calling me an embarrassment, in Public." Rosemary evilly giggled. I heard Firey sigh, "Yeah.. I'm sorry.."

Gosh.. I feel so bad for Firey now.. was he forced to be in a relationship with her or something!? Ugh.. poor Firey.. I wish I can just stand up for him, but I don't want to deal with... Rosemary..

I grabbed the tray again and walked over to them. I placed the Lava Fudge Cake on the table, "Here you go" I smiled.

"Thanks, Leafy." Firey smiled. "Is there anything else I could get you 2?" I asked.

"No." Rosemary said with her arms folded.

I walked away and walked in the back.

[ ... ]

Firey and Rosemary eventually had to leave. I already ringed them up and they already paid. I saw Firey was about to leave until I shouted; "Firey! Wait!" I called out.

Firey looked at me and I just stood there.

"Uhm.. is it okay if I text you later tonight..?" I asked. Firey looked at me in a confused way.

"Uhm.. do you have my number or something..?" Firey asked in a suspicious tone.

"My friend yesterday gave me your number when you called for the delivery yesterday.. I didn't intend to actually contact you.. she sent me your number." I smiled.

"Oh. Sure! I'd love to talk to you-"

"No, you're not talking to her. The only girl you can talk to is me!" Rosemary blurted.

"Babe, please. I at least want some company.. I promise her and I are just friends." Firey held her face. Rosemary looked a bit flustered and sighed.

"Fine.." Rosemary rolled her eyes.

"Well, bye, Leafy! I'll text you later." Firey winked and exited the Café.

H-He.. he winked at me.. oh gosh.. How am I already falling in love with him!? Oh goodness..

...I feel sick...
