"Make him regret it."

"No...no...definitely not." Alicia rattled off.
You placed your hands on your hips when you turned around to look at her. The dance was in about an hour, so you were scrambling to find something to wear. You had a perfectly good selection to choose from, but nothing seemed to appease your dear friend Alicia Spinnet.
Alicia had chosen a golden, shimmery dress that brought out a gorgeous glow from her dark skin. Her curly hair was resting beautifully on her shoulders. She had a flowy figure that could stop a truck.
"Are you going to turn down every single dress I show you?" You spat.
A guttural noise escaped her throat as he rolled onto her stomach on your small bed. She rested her chin in her palm.
"Look, they're all great, but you've got to look extra stunning tonight!" She announced.
"And why is that?" You asked, turning back to your trunk and tossing the denied dark blue dress back inside. "It's not like I have a date or anyone to impress."
A devious smirk appeared on her face. She lowered her voice slightly to keep anyone passing by from hearing her.
"On the contrary. Your lover boy will be there." She pointed out.
You gave her an irritated glance as you went rifling through your trunk of clothes once more. One of these just had to work...
"You know that Severus and I can't go together." You bantered.
Alicia snorted, fidgeting with the end of the blanket on your bed. Ever since you had accidentally told her about you and Severus, Alicia was totally invested in your relationship.
"Perhaps not. That doesn't mean you can't give him a run for his money," She said playfully, swinging her feet in the air. "There's no harm in just dancing with him. It's not like you'll be making out in front of everyone."
That was a thought that you pondered on for a minute. Dancing with Severus in a crowded room with his students and your classmates alike? What would Headmaster Dumbledore say at the sight of his Potions Master dancing with the assistant he was assigned? Other than Alicia, no one knew of your relationship. So, on the outside, it would just be a teacher harmlessly dancing with a student. The thought of dancing with Severus, but with other intentions, excited you.
Getting away with it felt thrilling, but risky. Your thoughts were interrupted when Alicia suddenly leapt up from your bed and screeched.
"Wait, back up." She said motioning towards your trunk.
"What?" You asked, pausing your mad search through your clothes.
Alicia went digging through your trunk now, stopping once she found what she had spotted. Her jaw dropped slightly, her gaze briefly flicking to you before lifting the dress she had found as if it were a pot of gold.
"I have never seen you wear this little number." She announced, holding up the dress that she had found.
It was a short, black dress. You surely needed to be cautious when you walked or bent over for anything. It was low cut and would show off all of your best features. It was surely not something you'd wear on just any day.
"Oh, I haven't worn that in forever. I'm not sure why I keep bringing it back every year." You admitted, running your fingers along the soft material.
Alicia was giddy with excitement that she had found the one for you.
