Chapter Fourty One

"Well let's get your mind off of it." He brushed my hair behind my ear, "What're we gonna do for the Yule Ball?"

"Well I'm going with August." I replied.

"What?"

"Well it isn't like we can go to together anyway."

"Well true, but out of everyone that exists it had to be him?"

"Well he's the first one who asked me."

"Then you won't mind if I go with Parkinson?"

"You'd want to go with Parkinson? The girl who you tried your hardest to get off your dick?"

"Well..." I could see Draco cringe in disgust of the thought of her.

"I mean go for it, but I'm just saying."

"Uhhhhh."

"Look Draco." I stood up from the ground, "It's getting late and I'm sure the both of us need some rest. Go with Parkinson if you'd like, but if she makes a genuine move on you, I will make sure the both of you regret it."

Draco stood up and kissed my cheek, "Let me walk you to your dorm?"

"No, it's alright. We can split when it's time."

December 4th, 1994

Sitting in the common room with Erin while Luna did her homework in our room.

"Erin, remember when you used to like Blaise Zabini last year?" I wondered.

"Yeah, I don't anymore. That crush is long gone."

"Well do you like anyone now?"

Erin seemed skeptical as if she should tell me or not.

"Tell me." My face lit up.

"You're going to hate me."

"I promise you that, that's bullshit."

"I kind of like Williams. He's really cute and sweet."

My heart dropped, I knew he liked me and he asked me to the dance. Maybe I could convince him to go with her instead.

"Let me set you guys up to go to the dance together!"

"No- you two are already-"

"Shut up Erin seriously. I don't care, I'll find somebody else."

"Plus he doesn't even like m-"

"Erin I said shut up." I cut her off.

She became silent.

"I am going to set you two up. Okay?"

She nodded as she was smiling. 

I stood up from the blue couch, "Now I'll be off to look for Williams."

Since it was Saturday I assumed August was probably in his dormitory.

I ran over to the Gryffindor dormitories to see Ron outside.

"Ron!" I yelled running over to him.

"Have you seen August?"

"Uhh." Ron though for a second, "Probably in the common room, let me see." Ron turned to the door, "Caput Draconis"

The door opened slowly and I went inside after Ron, I saw August sitting on the couch with that stupid blonde friend of his.

"August. Hi." I walked up to them who were sitting on the couch, I plopped down next to August.

"Hey Alice." He put his arm around my shoulders.

"Um so about the ball...my friend Erin would really like to go with you."

"Wait what? Me and you are suppose to go." August sat up taking his arm off of my shoulder in shock.

"I know, but Erin likes you and It'd be nice to see her happy and maybe even you. Can you just please give her a chance?"

"Okay Alice, anything for you." He smiled.

"Thanks you're the best." I gave him a hug, got up then Harry came out.

"Oh hey Aly."

"Hi." I smiled continued to walk.

I told Erin that August agreed to go to the Yule Ball with her, she got really excited and I was happy for her.
