Deep down, Draco wished he was never a part of this but he had no choice. In order to stay breathing and keep his family alive, he has to try and do whatever it takes. Draco actually never really cared if his father was put in danger due to his failure, he only worried for his dear mother. Yes she was strong and independent but at the same time she's this fragile woman who only wishes for her son's safety and well-being.
How could she marry someone like my father.

His thoughts were cut short when he felt himself trip and crash on the floor.

"Bloody hell!" Groaned Malfoy pushing himself up from the ground he fell on due to a person bumping into him.

"Potter." He spat as soon as he realised Harry struggling to get up.

"Watch it Malfoy." Harry spat back and shot a glare at the blonde boy who returned it. His grey/blue eyes met Potter's green ones for a moment until he broke it.

"I could tell you the same." Said Malfoy eyeing the smaller boy up and down.

"Why'd you miss class?"

"Now that isn't any of your concern is it Potter?"

"Fine then. If you'll excuse me, I have somewhere I have to be."

Harry hadn't managed to step away until he felt Draco's large grasp around his arm stopping him.

"And where might that be may I ask?" Questioned Malfoy as a smirk slowly started to form on his face.

"Now that isn't any of your concern is it Malfoy?"

Draco's jaw clenched.
"Using my words against me once again, I see."

"Yeah well it's-"

"Shut up Potter." Draco cut him off as he tightened his grip around his wrist and pulled him clumsily into one of the rooms.

It was a dark one, Harry hasn't seen it nor entered it before.

"What are you doing? What is this?" Exclaimed Harry as Malfoy released him.

Silence.

"Are you gonna bloody speak or not?"

Draco still left no response but let out a small sigh. He slowly approached the brown-haired boy. The closer he got the further Harry stepped back. He walked towards him with his signature smirk until Potter was leaning back on one of the walls. Draco placed an arm beside Harry's face and looked down at the panting boy below him.

"W-what are you doing-"

"Who's nose is now digging up in something that doesn't concern it?" His smile grew wider.

Harry's breathing was unstable as Malfoy was getting an inch closer each moment.

Draco removed his hand from the wall and dug it in one of his pockets. Harry looked at him in quite confusion until he saw Malfoy holding out a piece of paper waving it in front of his face.

"Forgetting homework now are we?"
Draco's smirk grew wider.

"Wha- oh. Shit we're partners. Amazing."

Professor Snape had assigned a small project due tomorrow and paired up Harry with Draco. Luckily, Malfoy was the one who recalled to do it.

"Gosh you should've seen your face. Blushing like a tomato you were." Chuckled Draco.

Harry opened his mouth a couple of times but nothing seemed to come out due to embarrassment.

"Do I make you nervous Potter?" Smirked Malfoy.

"Piss off." Spoke Harry shyly.

"Alright then." Said Draco raising his hands in defence. "Let's get this bloody homework down now shall we?"

Harry sighed and took a seat as he signalled Malfoy to settle next to him.
The scent of mint mixed with a strong Dior Sauvage filled his nostrils as Draco sat down. Harry shuffled uncomfortably on his seat as he reached out to grab the paper. As he was doing so, his leg touched Draco's accidentally. A shock was sent through both boy's bodies as it happened. Harry jumped slightly at the feeling and Draco just chuckled, trying to hide the fact that it affected him too.

~45 minutes later~

"Finally." Spat Harry tilting his head back and sighing.

"Oh please, I was the one who practically got it all done."

"Not true!"

Draco just rolled his eyes playfully.

The two boys paused and looked at the table in confusion when an owl had landed with a piece of parchment paper.

"What is that doing here? Shouldn't it arrive to one of the dormitories." Questioned Harry as he reached to check it out.

Draco gulped as he held the thought of it being a letter delivered to him.

"Wait. It says Malfoy on the fron-"

"Give me that." Draco quickly stepped closer and snatched the piece of brown parchment from Harry's hands.

Potter glared at him. He suspected that it is probably death eater duty stuff sent from either his father or the Dark Lord since the owl landed in a weirdly wrong place at a wrong time. He didn't say anything though as he watched Draco carefully opening the letter and stepping away so that it wasn't visible to him.

Malfoy moved further to one of the windows laying his back on it and began reading.

Dear Son,
The Dark Lord had ordered me to send this to you now. It may be an inconvenient time but it doesn't matter as long as he wishes for it. He told me to inform you about the plan and how it is going to work. Unfortunately, this has to be written and delivered by an owl since you can't visit any soon due to your studies. The plan is going to go as followed:
•Once the vanishing cabinet is functioning perfectly, you're going to inform us via a letter.
•We will prepare all the death eaters to be released from the cabinet that you're currently working on.
•Once they're free and in the walls of Hogwarts, this is when you step in.
•You're going to head over to where you might find Professor Dumbledore.
•The death eaters will follow you there and accompany you in case something intervened.
•This is when you're going to complete your task. You will kill Dumbledore.
•If you unfortunately failed, then Severus will step in and complete it.

Don't let me down Draco.
                                                Your father,
                                                   Lucius
