I walked into the kitchen and looked through the cabinets. I grabbed the noodles and put them on the counter. I took out a pot and boiled some water. When the water started boiling I put the noodles in. I grabbed the tomato sauce out of the pantry and put that on the counter too. The noodles finished and I mixed in the sauce, Sky watching my every move. I ended up picking out a few noodles and giving them to her. After spreading garlic butter on some bread I put that in the oven too. When I finished cleaning up Carlos got home. "Hey Mason." I said in a baby voice and grabbed him from Carlos and he bent down to rub Sky. I kissed his fore head and put him on my side, I carried him into his room and gave him his toy. He crawled aroung on the carpet and eventually fell asleep. I put him in the crib and walked upstairs to Eleanor's room. When she saw me she jumped up. "Look at all these designs for the babies room! We can have pink pillows,chairs,sheets,to-" She began but I stopped her. "We don't even know if it's a girl yet!" I chuckled and Eleanor frowned. "Now come on. Dinners ready." I said. We walked down the stairs and into the kitchen, where Carlos was setting the table. "I'll get the napkins!" El said and walked to the stack of napkins. I took out some oven mitts and took out the bread. I poured the sauce into the noodles. I took out some plates and filled them up. I put the bread on the table, along with the plates. "Dig in." I said.

After dinner Eleanor headed upstairs to do her homework and Carlos went to watch TV. I let Sky out back to do her buisness. I walked into Mason's room, where he was fussing. I picked him up and carried him to the kitchen. I put him on his slow-rocking swing and fixed a bottle. I picked him up and fed him but he fell asleep halfway through me feeding him. I put him back on the swing and swept the kitchen and wiped down the counters. I put Mason in his room and walked upstairs. It was about 7:30 by now. I turned on the shower and got in. I washed my hair with lemon shampoo and washed it out. I turned off the shower and got out. I wrapped a towel around me and walked to my closet. I put on some sweatpants and a oversized shirt that said "I Love Sleep". I brushed out my hair and blow dried it then braided it down the side. I checked on El then went back downstairs. I checked the living room; Carlos had fell asleep. I let Sky back inside and she trotted up the steps, probably to Eleanor's room. I got some coffee ice cream out of the freezer and grabbed a spoon. I walked into the living room and grabbed the remote. I sat on a chair and pulled my legs up to my chest. I turned on an old movie and watched it, eating the ice cream. At 8:30, on commercial, I went up and told El to start getting ready for bed. By 9 the movie was over and I had to tuck her in. Goodnight mommy." She said. "Night sweetie." I said, kissing her forehead. I turned off her lights and went back downstairs, Sky following me. I checked on Mason, who was still sleeping. I swear, if he didn't have to eat he would sleep his whole life. Carlos headed up to bed so I pulled out my laptop and checked my emails.

In the morning it was the baby's first check up. We got there and checked in and sat in the waiting room. "Pena." The nurse called out. Carlos grabbed my hand and we stood up. We followed the nurse into a room. "Wait here for the doctor." She said and left. I sat on the bed and the doctor came in. "Hello, I'm Dr. Jefferson." He said and we shook hands. "I'm going to need you to change before we get started." He said, handing me a robe. I changed in the bathroom and walked back out. "Lay down on here." He said and I laid down. Carlos held my hand the hold time. The doctor pulled out something and a bottle. "I'm going to spread this on your stomach to see. It's going to be-" He said but I finished the sentence. "A bit cold." I said. He laughed at me. I winced when he put it on. He moved around until he stopped. "There's your baby." He said. I looked at the screen and saw the outline of the baby. I gasped as tears came into my eyes. I smiled at Carlos and he smiled back. "That's our baby." Carlos said, kissing my cheek. "Everything looks fine. Set up an appointment for next month and I'lll see you then." Dr. Jefferson said, cleaning off the gel. He left and I changed back into my clothes. Carlos and I scheduled an appointment and left to meet Annie, James, and everyone else for lunch.
