Although you are inching closer to finding that group, it still feels as if you are very far from it.

You continued to gaze outside of the window until the waiter comes with you and Levi's food.

She places the food in front of you, with your cup of coffee and Levi's tea.

"Enjoy!" The older lady says and she walks away. Levi picked up his cup of tea and starts to sip it.

"No sugar?" You asked as you began picking on your food. Levi places his tea down and looks at you. "I like my tea this way." He said.

You nodded your head and began taking more bigger bites on your food. Levi watched you with furrowed eyebrows, all Levi could think of was how sloppy you were.

"Oi, slow down." He said while handing you a tissue. You looked at him then to the tissue. "What am I supposed to do with this?"

He rolled his eyes and throws the tissue at you. "Clean your damn face, there is food all over it."

You picked up the tissue and wiped your mouth. He watched you as you did so and it didn't bother you in the slightest.

"Happy?" You said while placing the tissue down.

"Very."

You rolled your eyes and sighed. You continued to eat your food in a more cleaner manner because the grumpy guy infront of you didn't like messes.

You glanced at Levi once again.

You have a positive feeling it's him and your pretty sure he thinks you do too. So you made him your partner to see if the amount of killings will slow down. Although it didn't, he does have a whole crew and still has time to contact his workers and the thing that makes it worse for the both of you is that you guys don't get anything in return. Which led you to wondering why he would except this partnership anyway.

He can't just be at the precinct unannounced, he needs you by his side because he isn't a cop and he doesn't have an ID. So what was his interior motives when accepting this?

Levi caught you looking at him and you smirked.

"You love staring at people." He says. You sit back on your chair still looking at him,

"I did say you have an admirable face." You said. He looks at you and picked up his tea. "You did say that, but isn't staring rather rude?"

You chuckled and shook your head. "No because in my way of staring at you it's taken as more of a compliment then an insult."

He straightened up and leaned forward on the table. "Then if I stare at you the same way, what does that mean?" Levi said staring deeply at you.

You looked back into his silver/blue orbs and leaned into the table too. "It depends on if it's used as a complement or not."

"Then what if it's used as a compliment?" He asked.

"Then I must be in luck." You simply said while sitting back on your chair. He sat back too while giving off a smirk.

"Then indeed you are." He said while finishing his cup of tea. "Hm why?" You asked raising an eyebrow in a silly manner.

"Because it was a compliment."

You both payed and walked out of the diner. You guys were going back to the precinct to look into the mafia case more.

"I want you to accompany me on another case." You said.

He glanced questioningly at you and raised a brow. "What?" He asked.

"It's a case that I will have to do with someone considering the fact it's a masquerade ball." You say pulling out your phone and showing him the information. He took ahold of you phone and looked at it

"Wasn't I only helping you with the mafia case?" He asked scrolling down on the page.

"Yea, but this is a new case they brought up today. And I don't want to do it with anyone else, so that's why I'm asking you." You said taking back your phone because he was done looking at it.

Levi walked silently for a minute. You watched him waiting for his answer. It was all true tho, you didn't want to go the ball with the people at your job because there were lazy shits, so if you asked them they will most likely say no. But even if they said yes they will stand there and party.

"So?" You asked. Levi glanced at you then looked away.

"I'll think about it." He said.

You rolled your eyes and mumbled profanity's under your breath. He glanced at you annoyed.

"You asked me if I wanted to go, so I don't know what your problem is." He said. You looked at him and crossed your arms..

"I know I said that, but I just don't want to go with the people I work with because they are all lazy bastards." You say still looking like a little toddler.

He looked at you once more and sighed.

"I told you I'll think about it." He said

You glanced at him once more and sighed,

"Whatever."
