Chapter 15

"Hello Y/N and L-." Amai said when entering the door and stopped when she saw the both you staring at each other. She quietly entered and closed the door. You and Levi didn't break the stare once.

"Why are you guys staring at each other like that, it's kind of scary." She said. Surprisingly Levi was the first one to break the stare and looked at amai.

"What do you want." Levi said, it seemed as tho it came out as a demand more then a question. Amai nervously scratched the back of her head.

"I just wanted to say hello." She said. Levi stared at her with an annoyed expression, "Thats all?"

"Y-yes, I'll take my leave." And with that she nervously walked out of the door. You were still facing him thinking about the whole interaction.

His face turned to you and you finally looked back at him.

"What's the plan for the ball?" He asked.

Levi left and you were busy sitting in your office typing something up in your computer.

The whole conversation was nothing to you, in fact it just made you more positive that it was him but that was not your true intention when conversing with him.

It was actually a distraction.

Your probably wondering what part of that was a distraction, considering the intense stares and the meaningful lines.

But it actually helped you out a lot.

The whole reason you did that was to make him think you would think about  the whole interaction you had the whole time...completely forgetting the fact that he was absent for 2 days.

But  you actually thought about what he was thinking about for 2 days, you concluded that something must have forced him into thinking for that period of time.

You thought about the possible outcomes of what he was thinking about,

You thought about if the reason why he took so long was because it will slow down his killing spree. But that can't be the case since it's a one day event and he has a whole squad.

You also thought about if he hasn't told his team that he partnered with you but that also can't be the case because even though he kept something from them, they will still have great respect for him.

So the last thing that can make sense in a way was that there had to be something at the ball or a person at the ball that made him think for those 2 days.

You scrolled down the list of people that would be at the party and so far nobody intimidating caught your eye. You continued to scroll down on the list hoping that there would be something.

Then that's where something clicked into your brain and you searched up the founders of this Masquerade ball. There were a couple faces you remember from different events that you had to go to since Nile forced you to go.

When scrolling down something captivated your eye

No someone captivated your eye.

You clicked on the profile and read the details out loud.

"Originated from a island named Marley." You read and continue to scroll down.

"Owns a small company which is one of the best out there right now." You say while narrowing your eyes, "still can't find his name tho..."

"His father and mother died when he was young....something I could relate too." You mumbled while continuing to read more.

"Has a team which are called 'warriors'...such a weird name, wouldn't want to be in that group." You say truthfully while grabbing your coffee beside you and sipping it, With your eyes still glued to the screen.

"And for the latest news, hosting a masquerade ball for the one year anniversary of his company..." you said still taking sips of your coffee

"And he goes by the name of.." you stopped and placed your coffee down. You read over the name and zoomed into his picture.

"Zeke Yeager."
