Episode 0: Wait, What? Chapter 8

Y/n: ... Can I go home now?

Hadrian: I- *sigh* Yes follow me.

You followed Hadrian where he leads you out of the building and into the competitors village. As you were making your way through the village the competitors were cheering. Some competitors were clapping, congratulating you, and some were just screaming with joy.

Hadrian: Seems like you have fans...

Y/n: I suppose so...

On the outside you were very calm and collected, smiling back at the competitors, waving at a few, and even giving high-fives to those that walked up to you. You looked calm on the outside, but on the inside... You were barely keeping it together...

Y/n: (Okokokok keep it together Y/n. You can handle being the center of attention for a few minutes. Think of it as having the school cafeteria sing you happy birthday... WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT?! THIS IS SO MUCH WORSE!)

You see... Y/n is capable of talking to those he just met if it's 3-5 people without freaking out on the inside, but this is roughly about 40-60 people, all of which you don't even know... Well except for 2 people.

Hadrian: I want to ask you a question
Y/n.

Y/n: Huh? I-uh sure! Ask away!

Hadrian: Ok... Do you plan on coming back here again? You know, to compete?

Y/n: Well... I don't think I could if I tried.

Hadrian: And why's that?

Y/n: The enchanted flint and steel I used to activate the portal that led me here broke.

Hadrian: Is that so? Well that's unfortunate. (Good. Don't want to lose to him again anyway.)

Y/n: Yeah I guess so...

The two of you were about to make it to the gate of the village, but before it could open to allow you to leave you were confronted by someone.

???: Y/n dude!!

Y/n: Huh?

You turned around and noticed it was Nell.

Y/n: Oh, Nell! What's up?

Nell: You remember my name?! Radical!

Y/n: Well yeah... I don't forget name's easily.

Nell: Awesome! I just wanted to congratulate you on beating that super duper hard game that a lot of us thought you would lose!

Y/n: Uh, thanks... (They all thought I'd lose huh? Ha! Yeah right.)

Nell: Yeah! No probs dude! I also want ask you if you'll be coming back.

Y/n: Well the probability of that happening is low, but not zero.

Nell: ... So is that a yes?

Y/n: I'm not sure honestly.

Nell: Oh ok then. I'll catch ya later dude!

Y/n: Bye Nell.

She then left leaving you and Hadrian alone. The gate had finally opened for you and Hadrian to leave.

Hadrian: Let's go.

You followed Hadrian out of the village, and soon you make your way back to the long staircase (how I can't tell you) where you then see the portal that sent you there in the first place.
