"Make sure to watch over her," he warned as Misa grabbed onto your arm and lead you back to the elevator. You watched as she pushed the number of the floor your bedroom was on opposed to the ground floor's one.
"Why are we going back up to the room?" you asked her.
"You'll see," she smiled, looking even more excited now that the two of you were unhandcuffed and allowed to leave the building.
Leaving the elevator, you returned to the room and watched as Misa ran over to her bag. Reaching into the large suitcase, she began pulling out bags of makeup and clothing, squealing with delight as she did so.
Closing the bedroom door behind you, you made sure to watch the contents of her bag as she emptied it. There was nothing unusual in there, making you a little disappointed that there was nothing out of the ordinary that could potentially be used as evidence against her. It wasn't that you disliked her, it was more like you wanted to catch the second Kira and if it was Misa that would make it a lot easier to find the original Kira.
You intitially guessed that she had been setting up things for herself but with the sheer amount of it, it became clear that she had the intention of dressing you up too. You were used to Kerrick doing it, but only when you went out on missions and such. Other than that, you liked to wear your own clothing.
"If I'm going on this date then I'm doing it on my own terms, that means dressing how I usually do," you announced to her, disappointing the blonde girl. Misa paused as she thought, her reluctancy to agree evident on her face.
"Fine, you don't have to do anyting. But I need to find some kind of disguise or else people will recognise me," she said, letting her eyes scan over everything she had taken out of her bag. Finding a mask, she quickly put it on before turning to me to show off her work.
"Looks good, right?" she smiled behind the mask, it only covering her nose and mouth. But even though she was wearing it, it was still obviously her.
"I can still tell it's you," you told her flatly. She immediatly moped after your criticism, her gaze returning to her suitcase for something else to add to it. But after spending some time looking, she huffed in annoyance.
"I don't have anything else," she sighed in an upset tone, taking a seat on the bed. You had a look yourself, not finding anyting that would be able to make Misa not look like herself. But you weren't too surprised, being well aware that she never had the intention of disguising herself. Wanting to help her out, you entered your bathroom and had a look around. And luckily enough for you, Kerrick had left one of his bags behind. He tended to leave one behind just in case you needed a disguise, but he also had an unlterir motive, hoping that one day you would want to dress up of your own accord.
That had never happened.
Picking up the bag, you carried it into the bedroom and dropped it on the bed next to the depressed blonde. Seeing that you had put it right next to her, she was quick to reach for it. Unzipping it, she gasped after seeing it's contents. Reaching in she pulled out a long black wig, her surprised expression turning to one of excitement once again.
"Where did you get this?" she asked, coming her fingers through the long hair to get rid of any knots.
"I have a friend who does my makeup and plans my outfits for when I have undercover work," you informed her, watching as she ran to the mirror to put the wig on. Clipping it down so it would stay attached to her head, she tied it into two loose pigtails on either side of her head.
"Does it look better now?" she asked, continuing to look at her disguised self in the mirror. You nodded, it being a lot harder to tell that it was her now that she had most of her face and hair covered. Just be sure, you handed her a beanie and a pair of fake glasses to tie the disguise together.
"Yeah, it's looks fine now. Let's get going," you encouraged, beginning to head towards the door. Misa was quick to rush to your side, smiling happily behind her mask as you exited the room.
"Okay, how about I come up with a new identity. Hmmm, how's this? My new name is Sami," she started. You raised an eyebrow as you walked towards the elevator.
"That's literally an anagram of your real name, it's too obvious," you critiqued. Misa pouted behind her mask.
"What would you know about disguises anyway?" she asked in an annoyed tone, feeling offended by you shutting down her idea.
"Misa, that's literally my job."
I have so much fun writing these chapters, can't wait to write some more. And I hope you guys are enjoying the chapters, more stuff will happen in the near future so stay tuned for that :)
