Fated enemies- kuroo x reader

A familiar aura

"Huh? Oh.. yeah, sorry I was just a bit zoned out" you said

looking up to kuroo, You felt that same feeling swell in your chest, looking away from him, you still felt quite... flustered.

'It was hard enough to look him in the eyes after seeing the red string, now this?!'

[time skip//training camp]

You've been avoiding kuroo for a while, after he held your hand in the closet it's been hard to hate him...

'If I talk to him I might make things weird...'

Currently everyone was on their way to the training camp, and because nekomata thinks the captain and the manager shouldn't be enemies, he made you sit together.

Kuroo had noticed you avoiding him recently, and it bothered him, sure you were his rival and enemy, but he still didn't want to not have you around.
It's normal to want someone you hate around... right?

'She feels awkward because I held her hand... she probably isn't sure how I feel about her, or how she feels about me... so I need to make her hate me... enough that she doesn't feel weird about talking to me... but not so much that she doesn't want to talk to me anymore... how do I do that...?'

Kuroo thought for a while before an idea hit him.

"Chibi Chan..."

"Yeah?"

"You look terrible today." He kept his voice flat, completely deadpan.

'Thats a lie, in fact she doesn't look terrible at all, she's practically glowing...'

You elbowed him "don't be a prick. Stupid catboy jerk..."

He smirked to himself 
'She might be mad at me, but at least she's talking to me again...'

[time skip//at the training camp]

The drive was rather uneventful, kuroo made sure to bother you as much as he could, oddly enough, things felt normal again.

You walked into the training camp to see The karasuno team talking strategy.

"ASAHI!!"

"Y/n?!"

Asahi looked scared as he saw you running full speed at him. You jumped onto him, wrapping your arms around his neck.

"I missed you, you big teddy bear!"

He took a moment to figure out exactly what was happening, and to calm his (almost) heart attack.

He then chuckled lightly and hugged you back

"I missed you too y/n."

You had met asahi at karasuno, in your first year, immediately becoming close friends. The two of you still called when you got the chance, but you haven't seen him in person since you left.

"Y/N?!" Noya and Tanaka both yelled "OUR GODDESS IS BACK!!"

"Noya, Tanaka, I missed you guys too!"

You looked over to Suga and daichi who were smiling, like the proud parents they were.

"Sugamama, dadchi, how are you lovebirds?"

"I thought you were gonna stop calling us parents?"

"Can't stop, won't stop!" You grinned

Kenma looked up to kuroo with a confused look.

"She's a lot more high energy when she's exited huh?" Kenma asked

"I guess so..." Kuroo replied

You were introduced to the first years who you had heard so much about, two volleyball prodigies, one super tall middle blocker, and one really adorable pinch server who didn't talk much.

since you had been told so much about the new and improved karasuno volleyball team, you decided to watch everyone practice for a while before you prepared dinner with kiyoko.

You had heard from the third years that the new first years had an incredible move, but you had no idea what was to come, until you watched Hinata and kageyamas quick attack.

"HOLY ASAHI!"

Hinata looked up at you with stars in his eyes "ITS COOL RIGHT?!" Hinata beamed.

"Super cool!"

Kuroo tapped your shoulder
"Hey chibi Chan~"

"Whaddup kitten?"

Kuroo looked at you, with wide eyes. "Kitten?" He had a light pink dusting his cheeks

"Yep." You smiled "You call me chibi Chan so I figured I should give you a more cutesy nickname! Anyways what's up?"

"You are... so weird.... anyways you're supposed to be helping shimizu with cooking."

"Oh I totally forgot! I was watching practice!"

Kuroo watched as you ran off to help kiyoko, trying to calm the fluttery feeling in his chest.
there's one thing about you that's been bothering Kuroo since he first met you...
Even though he had only met you a few months ago, he felt like he's known you his whole life. You've always been strangely calming to be around, a familiar aura surrounding you.

'Shes so... strange'
