"Hello, class. What are we learning today?" He claps his hands together and looks around the room until his eyes fall on Sierra who is doodling and writing in her little notebook, oblivious to Alaric's stare.

"With the decade dance tonight, we've been covering the sixties all week." Dana says with a light confused tone. Alaric awkwardly clears his throat when a few students begin to snicker

"Right. The sixties."  He sees Elena. He looks at her for a while and then turns to the board, he just looks at it with a crayon in his hand thinking of something he could write.

"The, uh, ahem..." he hasitates before he starts writing "The sixties. I wish there was something good I could say about the sixties, but...Actually, they kind of sucked. Except for the Beatles, of course. They made it bearable. Uh, what else was there? The Cuban missile thing, the...we walked on the moon. There was Watergate."

Sierra was stunned for a moment, he spoke about the sixties as if he was there. It caught her interest and she put her pen down to listen to what Alaric had to say. She never actually pays attention in class, she just writes and draws but the funny thing is that her grades aren't suffering because of this and The teachers don't even mind at this point.

"Watergate was the seventies, Mr. Saltzman." Sierra says with a chuckle and suddenly all eyes are on her, she usually didn't speak in class and even Elena was surprised. Alaric however seemed amused

"Right. It all kind of mushes together up here, the sixties, seventies. Thank you, Sierra. However I don't know how you remembered that seeing as you never pay attention in class" Alaric said jokingly and Sierra laughed, she liked Alaric. he was there for her when her mother passed and when her dad neglected his duty as a father. He was now that father figure that she looked up to, however even he didn't know how she actually felt.

They keep talking about the sixties and the lesson was actually fun, eventually the bell rung and everyone gathered their stuff to start preparing for the dance. Sierra walked with Caroline outside and they go up to Dana to help, but then of course Caroline sees her boyfriend and decided she wanted to go to him.

"Hey, Dana. Um, can you take care of these?" Caroline asked as she holds the posters and some leaves.

"Sure."

"Okay, thank you." She hands over everything she had in her hands and drags Sierra over towards matt. When he notices them walking towards him he looks happy, he smiles at Sierra as a greeting.

"Hey." She says, Sierra just awkwardly stands to the side watching them kiss and flirt, eventually she had enough and she made her way to the cafeteria where Bonnie and the  younger Gilbert were. They seemed to be having a heated conversation and Sierra thought it was best to just leave them be.

"Shh! We don't know that for certain. You promised to keep my secret, I'm trusting you. I'm going through with this, and if you tell anyone, I swear..." She hears bonnie say and she was curious as to what they were talking about. She gets distracted looking at all the food that she could see in the cafeteria and she was reminded as to why she was never in here. She eventually sits down with them and Elena later joins the three of them.

"Hey, Jer. How you doing? Are you okay at the house alone with John?"

Sierra zones out, She isn't interested in the conversation and grabbes her notebook out of her bag. She is pulled out of her own little world when Dana walks up to their table with a big smile.

"Hey, Elena, Sierra, there you are. Okay. This is going to sound freaky, but this totally hot guy just asked me to ask you if you're going to the dance tonight. Oh and Sierra? He asked you to save a dance for him if you are going"
