"God I'm beat", Beomgyu sighed, stretching his arms above his head.
It had been almost two hours since school had ended for the day, but the two of you decided to attend after school study sessions to prepare you for you upcoming exams.
"Wanna go grab something to eat?", Beomgyu asked, directing his eyesight towards you.
"Sure, but we'll have to make it quick. Mrs Choi will be tutoring me at 7pm", you replied, wrapping your arms around yourself as a cold breeze caused goosebumps to appear on your skin.
Beomgyu took notice of how cold you were and sighed.
"I told you to wrap up warm", he tutted as he took off his scarf and wrapped it around your neck.
It was such a small act, but the warmth it brought meant the world to you.
"Thank you Beomgyu", you smiled.
Beomgyu grinned as he took your hand in his and began to lead you off of the school grounds.
Since It was now November, the city was shrouded in complete darkness, lamp lights being the only thing to illuminate the bare streets. The air was nippy, but that was only to be expected as winter was closing.
The only warmth you felt in your body was the heat radiating from Beomgyu's hand that was intertwined with yours. Although the feeling of his hand in yours felt completely different from what you'd felt once before.
It felt meaningless.

"You're really improving y/n, you should feel proud", Mikyong beamed as she placed down the graded maths paper.
Glancing down at the sheet below you, you couldn't the smile that grew on your face. Before you would average around 30% on your maths tests, but thanks to Mikyong, you had already improved your average score by 45%.
"I couldn't have done it without your help"
Mikyong looked down at you, grinning. It was very apparent how proud she was.
"Hey mom I- oh... sorry am I interrupting?"
You raised your hand and fixed your eyes on the older boy who was leaning up against the door frame. He muscles were tense which became a lot more obvious as he stiffly crossed his arms across his chest. It was clear he was uncomfortable.
Since the night of the ball, contact between the two of you had been limited. Mainly due to the fact that the pair of you had been purposely avoiding one another. Your reasoning was that you weren't sure what to say to the boy who you had mixed feelings about, but his was that he wasn't sure how to approach you after hearing the news of yours and Beomgyu's relationship.
The awkwardness between both of you was extremely obvious, well obvious to everyone but you two.
"Oh no Yeonjun, we were just finishing up", Mikyong responded, moving away from you and heading towards her own desk. "Was there something you wanted to say?"
Yeonjun gulped as he looked from you to his mother.
"Well yes, but... It's private"
"Don't mind me, I'll just be leaving", you muttered as you gathered your notebooks and stood up, pushing the chair underneath the desk. "So don't worry, you won't have to worry about me hearing anything"
Hastily, you pushed past Yeonjun and ran down the hallway until you reached your bedroom. TO say you burst into the room would be an understatement. Seeing Yeonjun made you feel overwhelmed beyond words. So you couldn't help but make your way into your room and face planting onto your bed as fast as you could.
These days, your room had been your safe haven. Your own special sanctuary from the complexity of life. So when the piercing sound of your phone ringing echoed throughout your room, you couldn't help be be slightly irritated.
"Hello?", you said abruptly.
"Y/n? Is that you?"
After hearing the voice on the other side of the call, your whole demeanour changed. You gulped harshly.
"M-Mom? Why are you calling me?"
"Is it so wrong of me to check up on my child?"
You scoffed, "Well that really isn't your style, is it mom?"
"Now come on, don't be like that", your mom sighed deeply. "To be honest, I'm calling because I found out that your dad kicked you out"
The colour drained from your face, you were certain that you knew what was going to be said next and it was something that you were desperately trying to avoid.
"Y/n, I don't care what you say, but you are going to come and live with me"
You were right. Why did you always have to be right?
