Y/n let out a nervous laugh, nodding in agreement. You tried to kill me and yet here we are so actually sir I can see it happening. But I choose life so I won't say anythingggg.
"The humans attacked me, even when I didn't fight back. I certainly had the power to destroy them without a sweat, but I was young and stupid. I shoulda killed them. I shoulda killed every. Last. One of them! But I didn't. I refused to fight... Even when Frisk's soul in my head was urging me to do so. Eventually they hurt me so badly I had to return to the Underground, I ended up dusting in my parent's arms (which means I died). I don't know what happened next but when I woke up, POOF! I was a flower. Pretty neat huh?"
"That all really happened...? To you as-as a child?" Y/n asked slowly.
"I wouldn't lie to you, friend," Flowey replied, still smiling. How was he so casual about this? He was talking as if this was nothing.
"Yeah..." She trailed off, not sure how to respond to the tragic story. Flowey's best friend died when he was a kid, he tried to bring them back to the surface as their last wish, but the humans killed him. He...died... How is he even here right now? It doesn't make sense to me at all.
"Hey, Y/n?" Flowey's cheerful voice snapped the girl from her trance, and she looked back to him.
"Yes?"
"It feels good to tell all that to someone ya know?" Flowey said. "And I was wondering... what would you do if your best friend died?"
"...I would be sad of course...miserable," Y/n replied. Where was this going? "But I don't see how that question is relevant- "
"What would you do if your best friend were killed? Would you kill the person who killed them? Or would you retreat to a corner and wallow in self-pity for the rest of your life?"
"F-Flowey I don't understand what you're asking me- what do you want?" her voice trembled as his height increased, vines and briers sprouting from the ground as she spoke. "What-what are you doing?"
"I don't want you to become like I did," Flowey explained, his face contorted into a menacing smile, he towered over the girl now, looking like a bean stalk. "I want you to become strong enough to defend people, and not become a weakling like I was. We're gonna have a little assessment lesson today!" He cackled as Y/n's face twisted in fear.
"B-but I'm a human! I don't have attacks or attack patterns! I can't defend myself-!" She screamed, the vines surrounded her now, forming a kind of thorned wall. "Please Flowey, listen to me I can't- "
"Yes you can! C'mon friend, it's easy!" Flowey said, his voice echoed above her head. "And you better get ready to fight like your life depends on it. 'Cause guess what?"
She stared in horror as his menacing smile grew.
"I T D O E S."

Flowey threw Y/n against a nearby wall. The soft mud stained her back, her limp form sliding to the ground and hitting it with a thud. The girl stood up shakily and coughed, blood trickling down her chin and onto her grey shirt. She picked up her knife and charged at one of the many thick vines Flowey surrounded himself with.
She knew it was a futile attempt, but she had to try. She managed to slash one of them, though not doing any major damage. She winced as she jumped, dodging his next attack just barely. Every muscle in her body begged her to rest, they had been fighting for what felt like an eternity, although it had probably only been about 5 minutes. Y/n hid behind a tree to catch a breather, glancing at Flowey only for a second. However, it was a second to long. Flowey caught her eye and smiled.
