You can hear the two of them hyping him up, as well as Mike's baritone voice chiming in that he looked fantastic with the braid. You couldn't help but smile at the positivity shared by the others, knowing how important it was to a child's development.

"Well, Pieck. Do you think the stew's just about done?" you ask, standing up and lifting the lid on the pot to check the contents.

"Yup! Time for dinner," she agrees, the smell of freshly cooked food wafting through the air.

"Want to ring the bell for me?" you encourage, gesturing towards the small bell on a string with a nod of your head as you set the lid down in the sink.

The rapid ringing of a bell sounds through the cafe, as well as the surrounding camp. You let out a chuckle as she keeps going until Hange calls over "thank you Pieck! We'll get ready!". She giggles as she lets the bell go, scooting over on the counter so that you can set the bowls down next to her.

"Alright, everyone gets a tiny loaf of bread, a spoon, a napkin, and a tray, okay?" you instruct her, gesturing to the array of dishes. She nods her head.

"Good. Now, make sure to offer tea to people. Okay?" She nods her head again.

"Alright, let's get some food in some bellies," you declare as the first few of the Scouts start to line up in front of the window, allowing you to wave them over so that you can pass them their tray.

With Pieck's help, it's a streamlined process. Made even quicker with the assistance of Hange directing people towards the benches. There was no designated seating, as most of the squads mingled together and chattered, the end of the war bringing them closer together.

Your final "customer" was Levi, ushering Bertolt, Eren and Zeke towards the counter so that they could get their trays as well.

"Oh my, my final customer is a handsome stranger," you tease as Hange leads the kids off to the table to eat.

Levi arches his eyebrow at you as Pieck passes him a tray with his bread and silverware.

"You know, you seem like a tea guy. What would you say to a cup of Red Velvet Cake Black Tea?" you offer, holding out the canister to him so that he can read the back of it.

He takes a moment, reading over the label as you dish up his stew. The moment you saw the tea you knew you had to make it for him. Every once and a while when you had enough money, he bought a cake (or asked the chef to make one). Without fail it was always red velvet. His favourite tea also happened to be black teas. So when you noticed the two were combined into a tea, you had to at least try.

"Red velvet... I didn't think you noticed," he quietly muttered to himself, setting the canister down on the counter.

"Of course I did. You're my fiance, I notice more than you think," you hum, passing him the bowl of stew. "Go sit down, I'll bring the tea out to you."

He nods his head, his cheeks turning bright red as he takes his tray and shuffles off to the dining room. You turn your attention to Pieck after he's well out of eyesight.

"That's a secret, okay? No telling anyone he's my fiance," you instruct her, tapping her nose lightly.

She giggles, nodding her head up and down to let you know she understood.

"Good girl," you hum, kissing the top of her head and helping her hop down from the counter.

You've yet to tell anyone of your engagement. It's been a few weeks, yet none of you found it particularly necessary. You'd gotten rings, simple gold bands that each of you wore around your necks under your shirts. You had much bigger priorities right now, so the announcement could wait until after Shinishaga was repaired.
