"Just put it on my tab Muffet," Papyrus replied. She fumed but roughly let go of his hoodie.
"You better pay that tab of yours before you get any deeper," she hissed. "It'll be like paying off a college loan by the end of the year." Papyrus waved her off and left the building.
Y/n giggled at the interaction and finished her sweet tea, leaving money and a tip for the spider lady to collect.

"HUMAN!"
Y/n groaned. She'd never escape him. "What do want Sans?"
"I want to battle you!" Sans proclaimed. "So I can see for myself if Alphys is correct when she says humans are strong!"
"But I might hurt you-"
"Nonsense! No one can hurt the Magnificent Sans!" he exclaimed proudly, placing a hand on his chest dramatically. "Now, time's up human. Come at me, and don't hold back!" Sans summoned an array of bones, all circling him in the air. He held a long one in his hand, wielding it like a baton.
Y/n took a step back and looked around frantically for an escape route. She caught a glimpse of something orange in a nearby pine tree. She smiled and looked in wonder as she saw Papyrus sitting in the tree, awake (surprisingly), and watching them. He caught her eye and nodded. Go ahead. I'm watching, it'll be fine. I'll intervene if things go south.
Y/n calmed down and picked up a stick to defend herself. "Come at me little man!" she exclaimed, holding her stick aloft dramatically. Sans flinched at the nickname and sent an attack on her. The girl easily dodged all the bones, moving from left to right and bending back for one that nearly hit her chest. "That all you've got Sansy? C'mon!" she teased, charging at him and whacking him on the arm, quickly retreating back to her previous position on the snow-covered ground. Sans smirked.
"Alright human, it's time to prepare for my special attack!" Sans called, sending a complex pattern of bones in her direction. She was cut by several but maintained her composer. "RIGHT NOW!" He yelled, summoning a blue bone, holding it firmly like a staff. He ran to Y/n, a smirk spread across his eager face. She couldn't dodge in time and he landed a blow to her chest. Sans didn't do anything else but ran from her attempt to hit him. She tried to run after him but couldn't move. Not an inch.
"What- what did you do?" Y/n cried, not able to move her feet from the ground.
"I did my special attack of course!" Sans yelled back; a proud smirk plastered to his face. "You're blue now, so you can't move!" Oh no.
She struggled to move as he sent an array of bones at her. She was able to move now, but only by inches at a time. The bones struck her sides and arms, some even landing next to her feet as she shifted inch by inch. Suddenly, she felt her body jolt up and saw her soul in front of her chest. It wasn't glowing the color it usually did though, instead it was glowing blue. She was tossed through the air and hit with multiple bones to her sides. "C'mon human! Fight back and stop letting me win!" Sans yelled. He slowed his attacks, letting Y/n get a grip on what was going on.
"I'm trying! I'm not used to being thrown around like a rag doll you idiot!" She retorted, twisting around to avoid another one of his attacks. Sans let out a laugh as she struggled to avoid every single one of the bones.
"So, I really am as strong as I thought!" Sans cheered. "Alright I'll put you down now human." He turned Y/n's soul back to normal and readied another attack as she hit the ground with a light thud.
"I've had it with you."
"Wha-what? I couldn't hear you hu-." Sans stopped abruptly as the girl charged at him, her stick held aloft and ready to attack. Sans's expression turned to one of fear.
"I'VE HAD IT WITH YOUR STUPID MOCKING!" She screamed, hitting him on the arm as hard as she could. No. Stop, stop, stop! Stop! You're going to hurt him! Why isn't my body listening!
"GaH! Hu-human ok, OK YOU win!" Sans cried, clutching his arm in pain. She kept hitting him. Anywhere. "Y-Y/n stop! Stop it, you win! STOp! You're hurting me...you're h-hurting me... please, stop...!"
As Y/n was about to land another blow to his body something grabbed her wrist and held it firmly. She dropped the stick and started shaking, staring blankly at the crumpled boy on the ground, clutching his bloodied arm and curled up in pain. "That's enough Y/n," Papyrus hissed, tossing her wrist back and crouching next to his brother. She rubbed her wrist from his iron grip and took a step towards Sans.
"Sans, I-I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, I- "
"Be quiet and go home."
"Papyrus, I said I was sor-"
"Go. Home." His voice was lower than usual and dangerous, his right eye completely engulfed in orange flames as he assessed the damage of his whimpering brother. Y/n stepped back and hung her head, trying desperately to hold back tears. "Please, just...leave us. You've done enough for one day." Papyrus let out a sigh and picked up his brother, gentle to not hurt him further.
"It-it's ok Y/n," Sans whispered as he passed her, wiping away his tears with his good arm. "I'll be fine. It's just a broken bone, see? Papy can heal it...(hopefully...)" She nodded and stared into his eyes, pleading for him to forgive her. He gave her a weak smile in return. It's fine. It could've been a lot worse.

Y/n slid down her door once she was inside her room at the inn. She started to cry as she remembered Sans's terrified expression as she ran at him. How he begged her to stop, but she couldn't. Why couldn't I stop? I couldn't stop... I don't understand. I wasn't that mad at him for teasing...was I? I didn't mean to hurt him! I didn't mean to; I didn't even know I was that strong...I didn't mean to, I couldn't stop...!
She sat there and cried for a long time.
There was a soft knocking on the door when she began to calm down. Please don't be Papyrus. Please don't be Papyrus. Please don't be Papyrus. Please don't be-
"Hello sweetie," the lady said quietly. She was a bunny like monster, sister to the lady who ran the shop next door. She smiled sweetly as she held a few envelopes in her hand. "Is now not a good time?"
Y/n nodded, wiping her face as best she could, making sure to let her hair fall in front. "Yes, it's fine. What can I do for you?" The lady peeked in, looking a little nervous.
"Well, I um, need to collect your rent for this room," she said. "It's due today and you haven't mailed it, so I had to come by and make sure everything was ok and to...you know...pick i-it up."
"Oh, sorry about that. I actually...don't really...have anything to give you right now," Y/n confessed. "But I can get you the money by the end of the week, I promise. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience."
The bunny lady nodded. "It's quite alright. Just be sure to pay up by the end of the week. Please..." she trailed off and began to walk down the hall to the next person.
I have no way to get money. What am I going to do about this? This day just keeps getting better and better huh...
