"I'm Kusuo's father!"
"And I'm his mother! You're so cute! Thank you for being friends with our grumpy little Ku!"

Kaido began to panic.

"What- um...y-yeah, sure! Greetings s-sir, and m-ma'am...I-I'm Jet-Black- uh K-Kaido!"

Kurumi smiled,

"Oh, hi! So your name is Kaido?"
"K-Kusuo is one of m-my greatest allies! I-I mean friends!"

[Y/n] sighs as they cringe at the interaction. This kid needs to learn about speaking to people. I may have social anxiety, but at least I can talk to people.

[Y/n] trails back to their introduction on their first day of school. Kinda...

"Well, time for me to go converse with the heavens."

[Y/n] looks at Kaido. Is there a god or not? Kaido started making his way over to the shrine as Kurumi began to talk.

"Kaido seems like a good kid!"
"Yeah, even if his scarf is dragging.."

Kaido made his way back over to Saiki and [Y/n] as he started talking about random stuff.

"So what was your prayer about Kaido?"
"O-oh! I-it's a secret"

[Y/n] sweatdropper. His character just completely changed...

"What's up Kaido?"

Everyone turned to see Hairo in a t-shirt with his sleeves rolled up and some shorts.

"Oh wow, Saiki and [Y/n] are here too? What a coincidence! Happy New Years, guys!"

What the hell are you wearing..? Kaido nods,

"O-oh..uh thanks.."
"Are you doing the shrine thing? I am as well- uh...Saiki, who are those people with you?"

Saiki's parents had literal stars in their eyes as they were looking at Hairo from behind Saiki's shoulders.

[Y/n] cringed. They're starting to creep me out...

"Oh, you're his parents! Nice to meet ya! Kusuo might've mentioned that I'm the class rep! My name's Hairo! Your son is always quick to help me at school!"

As Hairo made his way to the shrine, Saiki's parents began fawning over how good of a kid Hairo is.

"So Hairo, what did you pray for?"

Hairo began to laugh,

"It's a secret!"

I'm kinda curious about what he wished for not gonna lie. [Y/n] thought to themselves.

"Oh, hey guys!"

Lemme guess, it's Nendou. [Y/n] looked to the owner of the voice and to no surprise, it was indeed Nendou.

"Woah, you all are at the shrine today?"
"Nendou!"
"Oh, hey buddy's mom and dad!"
"Nendou, do you play tennis!?"
"Nope! But I'm probably pretty amazing"

Well...he's got spirit?

"So Nendou, have you prayed yet?"
"Oh, you mean like ringing that big bell? Sure, I'll do it!"

Nendou walked up to the shrine and violently rang the bell. [Y/n] flinched, not expecting it to be so loud.

"Okay, now it's time for ramen!"

What the hell was that? Kuniharu laughed,

"Nendou, you're funny! You only rang the bell once! I'll show you how to do the whole ritual!"
"Oh?"

[Y/n] watched as Saiki's father began to teach Nendou how to properly do the ritual.

"Oh, it is you Saiki!"

[Y/n] flinched. Oh my god- I don't have anything against Teruhashi but I'm starting to get annoyed with her.

[Y/n] turned around and waved,

"Hey, Teruhashi."
"Oh wow, it's Teruhashi!"
"What? Who is this lovely lady?"
"Hey, what's up girl?"
"Want me to show you how to ring the bell?"

Nendou, you didn't even know how to do it properly before now..

"Kusuo's dad, nice to meet you!"
"And I'm Ku's mother!"

Everyone began to crowd around Teruhashi as [Y/n] just stood there, not too far from them. [Y/ n] looked over and saw Saiki leaving. Honestly? I don't blame him.

"Kusuo, you going home now? I know, why don't you all come back to our place to celebrate? We've got a big spread!"
"Yeah, please come!"
"Great, I'm hungry!"

[Y/n] began to walk away, figuring that they weren't including them.

"[Y/n], you're not coming?"

The teen paused and slowly turned around to see everyone looking at them. Please let me disappear at the moment.

Kurumi walks over to [Y/n] and places her hands on their shoulders while smiling.

"Please come! And no leaving, okay? We'll make sure to pay attention to you this time!"

THAT'S THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I WANT! [Y/n] looks at the ground and timidly nods. Please let me die right now. Nendou walks over to [Y/n] and wraps an arm around them,

"Yay! Pal is coming with us!"

"Alright, everyone follow me!"
