Ahsoka eyed me curiously; which I noticed from my peripheral vision, "What's your deal with Master (y/l/n) anyway? Are you guys-"
"We're just friends." I cut her off quickly as I cleared my throat. I heard Obi-Wan snort from behind us and I resisted the urge to flip him off for not being subtle.
She hummed as I began to find a place to land that was a good distance from the entrance, but close enough for a quick getaway if need be, "I'm just saying it seems like a little more." I could see her grinning from next to me and I side-eyed her; it looks like (y/n) and I are going to have to be extra careful around this little one.
"It's not," I lied as I shifted my gaze to look straight ahead to prepare for a landing, "We've just been very close since we were younglings, she was my first friend in the temple actually." I smiled slightly at the thought of my Princess introducing herself for the first time, I haven't seen her in a few days and I already missed her.
"That's actually really sweet, I can't even remember my first friend at the temple." She sighed.
"Not to cut it on your obviously important conversation, but this is definitely a trap." Obi-Wan eyed the now empty looking desert planet.
I looked up at him with a devious grin, "I know it is, so you should already know what I plan to do."
He gave me the same devious grin back as he placed a hand on my shoulder, "Oh yes, we're going to spring it."
(y/n)'s POV
I nodded, "Impressive." I gave Cal a high five for answering every single one of my questions correctlyHe smiled, "I told you, I already know all of my studies." He responded with pride.
I stood up from the training room floor and gripped my lightsaber, "Alright then, we'll move on to the more fun stuff." I smirked as I backed away from him and he immediately jumped up with excitement dancing in his eyes. This is something he's been waiting for and I hardly felt well enough until today to give him his wish, "Okay kid, show me what you get." I gestured to him with one hand and he lit his blue lightsaber with a determined smile.
He ran towards me and I lifted my hand and pushed him back with the force; he flew off of his feet and landed onto his back with a pained groaned, "Thats cheating." He choked out from getting the wind knocked out of him.
I let out an amused laugh as I stepped towards and looked down at his annoyed face, "There's no such thing as cheating when it comes to combat Cal." I held my hand out to him and he accepted it so I could help him get back on his feet, "First rule to combat; there are no rules," I shrugged, "They'll play dirty and if you want to survive; you need to learn to play dirty back." I twisted my blade in my hand and backed away from him, "Especially of you're unlucky enough to encounter a Sith Lord, they're the dirtiest of all. They'll try getting into your mind and use your own weaknesses against you," I held my lightsaber up and pointed it directly at him, "Do not fall for it." He nodded in response as I twisted my blade around in circles, creating purple silhouettes in the air; he eyed my movements with intrigue, "They will say just about anything to toy with your emotions; they want you to become unstable. Thus, sealing their own victory."
I chuckled a little at myself, I was starting to sound like Master Yoda.
"Have you encountered a Sith Lord master?" Cal asked as he kept his eyes fixated on everything I was doing; almost like he was studying me.
I nodded, "Yes I have, just one and only once; the Count Dooku." I informed him and his eyes widened.
"I heard about him!" He exclaimed with fascination, "Was it difficult?" He asked curiously as he began to mimic my movements; twisting his lightsaber just as I did my own. It caused me to smile a little, I felt honored that a kid like him wanted to be like me. He could have asked for anyone, Anakin included, which is who most children would choose; but he chose me.
I nodded again, "Yes, but I held my own just fine, thanks to Master Yoda's training." I praised my Master that I loved dearly. He truly shaped me into the best Jedi I could possibly be, which is exactly what I'm going to do for this gifted kid in front of me, "Now," I held my lightsaber steady and began to walk around him in a circle, his eyes followed me wherever I went, "I hope that you never have to encounter a Sith Lord, but if you do," I advanced towards him and he quickly parried my attack, "You need to always be ready." I smirked as our lightsabers seared together in front of our faces; he smirked back; proud of himself, "For anything." I added as I lifted my leg and kicked him right in the stomach; he buckled over as he backed away from me with a pained groan.
"Damn it." He silently scolded himself with a defeated sigh as he composed himself and stood up straight.
I chuckled as I stepped towards him, "Don't beat yourself up, you're still learning. And you're more advanced than most of the teens at your age, so you've got an amazing start." I placed my hand on his shoulder as I complimented his exceeded skills, "I'm pretty sure that there will come a day when you'll even be able to beat me." I smiled with encouragement.
He laughed as he shook his head and picked at the handle of his lightsaber, "I doubt that."
I sighed I dropped my hand down "Don't ever doubt yourself Cal, doubt will cloud the mind and push you closer to failure. You need to always have faith in yourself that you can do anything."
He smiled as he looked up to meet my gaze, "Has anyone ever told you how wise you are?"
I shrugged, "What can I say, I was raised by the wisest of them all."
"Here you two are." Speak of the devil.
We both glanced over to the entrance of the training room to see Master Yoda walking in with a nervous look in his eyes, "Is everything alright Master Yoda?" I asked as I retracted my blade and placed it on my belt; Cal did the same to his.
He sighed as he looked up to me with both his hands on the top of his cane, "Skywalker, Kenobi, and Padawan Tano, on Geonosis they are. Heard from them in some time we have not. Nervous we are, for their well-being." He informed me and I felt a knot in my stomach.
I took a deep breath so I didn't panic in front of Cal, "I'll go look for them." I told him and before he could even attempt to dictate my choice; I held my hand up to him with a stern expression, "I'm going Master, I feel just fine and what better way to get back out into the field than for me to do the one thing I'm amazing at; saving Skywalker's behind," I informed him playfully to hide how scared I really was. I glanced over to Cal with a smirk, and judging by his nervous, yet excited, facial expression, he already knew what I was about to say, "And you're coming with me."
