The Impure King

The woman had her nose and mouth covered to not breathe in the miasma. "Hey, I think you guys should cover your nose and mouths too, just in case. I'm a demon, so I won't get infected." I told Todoroki, Iida, and Midoriya. "R-Right..." Midoriya stuttered, and covered his nose and mouth with his hand. So did Todoroki and Iida.

"Do you know if my son is all right?" The woman coughed. "You don't have to worry about a thing, lady. The best in the biz is here to do some head busting. We'll get your kid back safe and sound, promise. If any... Yukio moved in front of Rin "We might be too late. I'm sorry, ma'am." Yukio said. The woman gasped in shock.

"He's been in there a long time, so you should prepare for the worst." Yukio said. The woman started sobbing. I felt my body start to tense up. Seeing the woman sobbing saddened me.

"What the hell, Yukio!" Rin yelled. "Shura, I'm leaving Rin, Akia and the others with you." Yukio said.

"What?" I asked. "That's cool. I just remembered I gotta take these three healed up and taken to Mephisto so they could be enrolled temporarily in the classes, while Rin and Akia continue their training. Come on, guys, let's go." Shura told us, but Rin and I didn't listen. 

"Screw you, man, I'm comin'!" Rin said. "I'm coming too, whether you like it or not." I said.

"Akia, please. Listen to Shura. Besides, you're still injured and didn't the doctor say that your leg was going to be fully healed by tomorrow?" Iida asked me. "Yes... But that doesn't matter. I'm helping my brothers." I said.

 "Akia. This is not the time to be stubborn." I felt a hand on my shoulder. "Exorcists are not superheroes. We can't save everyone! So don't go making promises!" Yukio yelled at Rin.

"You're writing that kid off before you even do anything, you chicken shit!" Rin yelled back. "All right, tough guy, we got some errands to run." Shura grabbed Rin by the collar of his polo dragging him away. "Let go, Boobzilla!" Rin yelled at Shura, trying to resist her and go after Rin. As expected, I had no choice but to follow Shura.

Rin and my luck came when all six of us ended up in a large crowd. This was our chance to escape from Shura. Rin and I looked at each other and grinned. We let ourselves get carried by the crowd and ended up ditching them.

I knew Iida was going to get mad at me. He knew that I was stubborn for my own good. Rin and I soon caught up with Yukio and Sabutora, walking quietly behind them. I soon gave away our location when I asked, "So, what's up with this Left Eye thingie?" Rin decided to ask them.

"Huh? Akia? Rin?" Yukio turned around to face us. "Why are you two here? Where's Shura and the others?" Yukio asked us, obviously panicking. "Who knows? We gave them the slip." Rin said. Yukio placed his left hand on his head. "What, you think can sideline us whenever things get a little hairy? I promised that kid's mom we were gonna save him." Rin said.

"I can carry the bird if you want, I don't mind." I said, offering to hold the bird cage. Inside the birdcage, was a yellow, canary. I left my crutches somewhere in an alleyway. I found it too noisy to move around with it, and my leg was almost, if not, completely healed anyways, though it did hurt whenever I ran to catch up to Rin. "Fine, carry it, and Rin, make sure Akia doesn't fall, she still has a cast on." Yukio sighed in defeat.

We started walking again. "So, what's the bird for?" Rin asked beside me, looking at the canary chirping away. "It's a pseudo-canary. If it senses miasma, it will stop chirping." Sabutora explained. I noticed that the bird stopped chirping. "Then there must be some around 'cause it stopped chirping." I said.

We all stopped to see a black figure nearby a window. On the ground in front of him was a little boy. He was breathing heavily and there were demonic spores on him. "Whoa! There he is." Rin said, surprised. "Look, the kid's still breathing." I said.
