This time my heart almost stopped. The whole world around me seemed like it had halted for a moment. My head, my heart which was empty all these years, filled up just in a moment. Why? The canvas for which I waited for years is now in front of me. It's that painting which I saw four years ago, it's that aesthetic over which two handprints are still intact. It's kept in a special framed showcase under which it's written, "NOT FOR SALE"
Below the painting I could see the quotes written,
"By an untamed person who didn't accept defeat in life. By the famous basketballer Wang Jun."
Many of the people who know me looked at me while smiling and clapped. That moment I noticed a known silhouette at the far end, clapping cheerfully. That known smile was still intact over his face. His eyes were covered with black sunglasses this time but that didn't reduce the brimming happiness over his face. I proceeded towards him slowly, which was unnoticed by him. He was still clapping while I grabbed his hand softly. It somehow made him startled but he didn't say anything.
"Come."
I said. He was hesitating to come but I almost dragged him softly in front of that canvas. Yes we met again, in front of this same canvas.
The staff there bowed to him, since he's the one who probably arranged this exhibition.
"Well I'd like to say I have the authority to make a certain change." I mentioned.
"What is it sir?"
One of the staffs asked.
"The quote under the painting should be changed to - Two untamed....."
"Jun."
I've been stopped by a soft voice which belonged to none but him.
"Please."
I replied to him and then continued saying to the staff.
"Please change it into - Two untamed persons who didn't accept defeat in life. By basketballer Wang Jun and the great painter- "
I touched his hands again asking in a non verbal order to say his name.
"Xiao Xian."
He mumbled with a charming smile. The people around us this time gave a round of applause while smiles became the only thing plastered over their faces.
"I told you na, that one day I'd say to everyone."
He said while patting my shoulder.
"I believed you in the past and still now I do."
Both of us smiled.
"Wanna go somewhere?"
I asked him.
"Where?"
"It's a surprise."
Xian didn't protest like usual.
"Let me bring my walking stick."
"No need."
I held his hand while with my other hand I rolled the wheels of my wheelchair. We slowly exited from the other side of the exhibition which was relatively lonesome. I called my secretary to send my car there. After the arrival of the car I told him to enter. Seeing him a bit hesitant I helped him get into the car.
"Your name is beautiful."
"Really?"
"Again, you're the first person who said this to me."
"You should take off the glasses. You look beautiful without them."
"But I'm."
"You've a beautiful sight inside your heart and that's enough for me. So just take it off."
