The Assistant || Severus Snape x Reader ||

Well, here it is! The end of the story. I don't even know where to begin to express my gratitude and love for the support I've received. When I started this book back in December, I had no idea what to expect. I hadn't written a story like this in a long time. I've had success with writing before, but never on a continuous story like this. I've been writing for a long time (I was probably writing smut at an age that I didn't need to be lol) and I've had as many failures as I have successes.

I have to admit that I was skeptical of myself when I began this story. Truth be told, I had been in an endless cycle of writer's block and loss of passion for a while. I wasn't sure that I belonged to write anymore. I was sure that there were so many author's out there who deserved more credit and attention. And while I still think that's true, I like to think that maybe I'm up there with them. 

I am NO genius writer by any means. I'm sure this story has plot holes and untied ends that I've long forgotten about. I know that there are probably parts of this book that the majority of my readers hated with every fiber of their being (y'all know what I'm talking about). 

I know this story isn't perfect, but I think that's the beauty of it. Relationships aren't perfect. People aren't perfect. Life isn't perfect. Love isn't perfect. 

If I could have it my way, I probably could've dragged this out about another 100 chapters just so it didn't have to end. I found SO much joy and energy knowing that I could wake up everyday to write to plan out the next chapter. But I know that never ending this story wouldn't be fair. All stories have to come to an end eventually, and I knew that now was the time.

Thank you all SO much for the support. Your comments and votes always swelled me with happiness to know that I was hopefully making someone's day a little bit brighter. I'll of course be leaving this story up for anyone to re-read if they wish and for new readers. Always feel free to comment, even if you've already read it. I love reading comments and I *sometimes* will respond. 

Going back to the book not being perfect (lmao), I'm sure I left some things out in the open. I don't know if anyone is curious or feels left off of something, but if there's any questions about something, feel free to shoot me a message or a comment. I'll answer the best that I can :)

ALSO, this isn't the last you'll see of me. 

I am planning on writing another Severus Snape x Reader! I have no idea when or even what it's going to be about, but my intentions are to keep my work active! For now, I'm just going to think over it more and take a bit of a break from writing. I hope to see you all on my next writing project!
