Escaping

I lit my hands up with fire, "ahhhhhhhh!" I screamed running at the monster.
I threw my hands forward, two jets of fire burning the monster, it screeched and tried to hit itself.
I screamed again as I made my fire hotter.

I saw Chuck dodge us and grab the nearly falling key.
"CHUCK HURRY!" I shouted at him. He nearly fell too but Teresa pulled him up.

I had fully killed the griever now, so I turned to the boys, panting.
"THEYRE COMING!" Chuck screamed and I saw the two grievers climbing the wall.

I ran to the boys side. Helping them to fight the creatures.
"THOMAS THERES A CODE! Eight numbers" Teresa shouted at us

Thomas muttered.
"Minho what's the sections of the maze?" Thomas asked him but he was too busy fighting so I called out the numbers instead.

We were backing up now.

Minho finished the numbers for me, as i fought a griever.
Then one griever fell on Minho.
"MIN!" I screamed readying my fireballs.
But Jeff ran and stabbed the griever through the ugly head.
Minho got out, but Jeff was being eaten.

"GET BEHIND ME!" I screamed out to the boys.
And the did, I held my hands in front of us, making a barrier of air. Protecting us. Then the walls began to close smushing the monsters

I pushed my air forward and the last griever died.

Then our little room went black, everyone screamed

We walked down a weird tunnel, and we found a door with a glowing green sign that said 'EXIT' on it
"Really?" Fry asked sarcastically

I shrugged, and we all walked in.

We were in some sort of lab. Broken glass, and dead bodies everywhere.
I tightened my grip on Newts hand.
Frightened.

I might have amazing powers but I was still scared.
I saw lilo walking beside Chuck. Still protecting him.

Thomas pressed a button and a woman appeared
I remember her, Ava Paige. I snarled at her, and Lilo barked at the screen angrily.

"Hello my name is doctor Ava Paige. I'm director of the World Catastrophe Killzone Department. If you're watching this that means you've successfully completed the maze trials." Ava screen said

I stood with Newt beside me and everyone gathered around

"I wish I could be there in person to congratulate you, but circumstances seem to have prevented it. I'm sure you by now you all must be very confused, angry, frightened. I can only assure you everything that's happened to you, everything we've done to you, it was all done for a reason." She said

I looked at Newt, he was watching the video intently, I glanced down at his ankle. They did that to him. That made me mad.

"You won't remember but the sun has scorched our world. Billions of lives lost to fire, famine, suffering on a global scale. The fallout was unimaginable. What came after was worse. We called it the Flare. A deadly virus that attacks the brain, it is violent, u predictable, incurable. Or so we thought" she said

This time I looked at Thomas, the two of us sharing a look.

"In time a new generation emerged that could survive the virus. Suddenly there was a reason to hope for a cure. But finding it wouldn't be easy. The young would have to be tested, even sacrificed in harsh environments, where their brain we could study their brain activity. All on effort to find out what makes them different. What makes you different." She said

I felt like the video was staring at me. For my powers?

In the background, I could see people running around in white coats, screaming. Then people in black came in shooting the place up.

"You might not realise it, but you're very important. Unfortunately your trials have only just begun. As you'll soon discover not everyone agrees with our methods. Progress is slow, people are scared. It may be too late for us, for me, but not for you. The outside work awaits. But remember WCKD is good" she said holding a gun to her head, and shooting

I shielded my eyes on Newts shoulder, and he pulled me into his chest. Safe.

We stood around "what do we do now?" Minho asked
"We get out and find a safe place?" Thomas said
Lilo started barking, and I heard the glass love too.
I turned around and there stood my brother, but he looked weird

"Gally?" I asked stepping forward
"No he's been stung" Teresa said pointing to my brothers green side.
"You can't leave." He said holding a gun
"We're free Gal" I said holding my hands up to him.
Newt grabbed me back again.
"No." My brother said to me
"We can leave Gally" Thomas said
"I belong to the maze. We all do" Gally said
I heard a loud bang, we all screamed at my brother, but Minho threw a spear at his chest.

My eyes went wide.
"NO!" I screamed running to his side.
He was gasping for air, and he fell.
"No no no no no. Gals you can't leave me" I said shaking him as he struggled to breath

"Thomas?" I heard Chuck say.
I briefly turned around
I saw a giant patch of blood on Chucks chest growing.
And he fell, Thomas caught him.
I knew he'd be okay, so I stayed with my brother.
"Thomas push down on the wound, Someone help get the bullet out" I shouted over at them, turning to my brother

"Gally please don't do this." I cried
"I'm sorry" Gally said
"Who are you?" He asked spluttering

"Gally?" I asked crying
"You can't leave me here. Please remember. I'm Y/N you little sister. Your twin. I taunt you and I tease you and I make your life miserable. But you love me anyway" I cried into his chest.

I heard Thomas crying for Chuck.
I lost Chuck too, I can't lose my brother.

"You're everything I've ever wanted to be" I cried into my brothers chest.
"I'm- sorry- Y/N-" he said before going limp.

I screamed and a burst of blue energy came from me. Shattering what was left of the glass.
I held my hands over my brothers chest. My blue hands glowing.
"I can save you. I'll save you Gals" I cried my eyes turning blue as well.

But two hands pulled me from the body.

"NOOOO! I NEED TO HEAL HIM! GALLY! GALLY!" I screamed as I was dragged away.

I was brought out into light. I had to shield my eyes, and I was thrown into a helicopter. Newt hugging me close to him.

I just cried and cried.
For my little brother Chuck. And my twin.
