With that, the sushi scientist (omg I had to) walked out of sight, leaving Papyrus and Y/n standing outside together. Papyrus turned to her and looked her up and down, a look of concern crossing his face. Undyne wasn't kidding, she's banged up pretty bad, he thought. "C-can we go inside?" Y/n asked. Papyrus nodded and facepalmed internally.
"Sure, let's get you out of the cold kiddo." He opened the door and she quickly walked in. Papyrus closed the door and led her to the kitchen and made her sit down. "You have anything underneath this hoodie?" he asked.
"U-uh yeah. Just a tank-top," she replied tentatively. He's up to something. "Why do you ask?"
"How else am I supposed to help you if I can't see how deep the cut goes?" he asked. She nodded slowly and sighed. She took off her hoodie and put it on the back of the chair, giving Papyrus full view of her arms and some of her chest area. "Damn, what happened to you...? You're gonna need stiches for that one," he said as he examined the huge gash on her left arm.
"Undyne and I went to Waterfall...and we visited Alphys...and then things didn't go so well, to put it simply," she replied softly. She knew he was going to be mad at her, and she was bracing for it. Papyrus only sighed and walked to a cupboard, grabbing a white box from a high shelf. He pulled up a chair and sat next to her, opened the box, and riffled through it looking for bandages. Y/n watched him curiously as he pulled out a roll of white cloth and a bottle of what looked like hydrogen peroxide. "...You're not mad at me?" she asked suddenly.
Papyrus glanced at her, then rolled his eyes with a grin. "No, course I'm not mad at you for being stupid. That's your fault," he said bluntly. She frowned at his response. "But... I do wish ya would've listened to me. We hadn't worked things out with Alphys yet, so I didn't want you going out to see her. I knew she'd get like, well, like this." Y/n nodded and looked away, observing the kitchen around her as Papyrus got everything situated. He opened the bottle and poured the liquid onto a cotton ball and hovered it over the gash. "This might sting, honey."
"Was that pun intended?" she asked, raising a brow as he grinned.
"Even if it was intended, I don't think you'd bee-lieve it." Y/n laughed unintentionally. Papyrus grinned and swiped the cotton ball over the cut while she was distracted. She let out a small scream as the hydrogen peroxide started to sting. She gave him a look of pure dislike. "I warned you, didn't I? C'mon, stop being petty. You're stronger than that. I haven't even started with the stitches yet."
"Augh...! I don't trust you enough to do stitches," she said, grinding her teeth as he continued to wipe off the dried blood and clean the wound. "I'd rather go to a hospital for that." Or just let it heal on its own. The thought of someone sewing my skin together isn't exactly pleasant.
"Well, we don't have a hospital, so you're stuck with the Great Papyrus," he stated.
"More like the Terrible Papyrus...AUGH! BE GENTLE GEEZ!" she screeched as he hit a sensitive spot. Papyrus tried to hold back laughs.
"Ppff- I'm trying! I'm trying! Be still and stop mumbling and maybe I can focus better ok!" Y/n huffed and turned away from him as he began to shake with laughter.
Once he finished cleaning up all her cuts, he bandaged the ones that could be bandaged. There were a few thin gashes at her ankles and wrists, other than that it was just the big one on her left arm that needed more attention. Papyrus took out the needle and threaded it under the table so Y/n wouldn't see it. She tried to turn her attention anywhere that wasn't the needle as her mind raced with anxiety and fear of the pain.
Bruh, I've died before. Multiple times. I've literally been ripped apart. Why are stupid needles scaring me so much?! She wondered, running a hand through her hair and sighing. She could feel tears prickling her eyes as her mind continued to wander into violent territory, memories of the harsh fights and pain she had felt in the past. Papyrus noticed her shaking body and visible fear.
He tentatively took her good hand in his and squeezed it to grab her attention. It worked, Y/n looked to him, a few tears already dripping down her face. "Hey, look at me, sweetheart. It'll be fine. I promise. I'll make it as quick as I can," he said softly. "Try focusing on me ok? Once you get through the first one it'll be a breeze." Y/n's shaking subsided a little and she nodded hesitantly. Papyrus gave her a grin and scooched his chair closer to her. "Do you want me to warn you or just do it?"
"J-just do it, please," she whispered, her voice cracked a bit while saying so. He nodded and ran the needle through the patch of skin as quickly and nimbly as he could. Y/n let out a whimper and turned her head. Papyrus gently grabbed her chin and turned her face back to his.
"Do you wanna hear a story?" he asked, pulling the string though her skin gently. She nodded slowly; confusion written on her face. Papyrus positioned the needle over the next part of the gash. "This happened a few years ago – pay attention to me honey, not the needle – Sans and I were invited to a party at Undyne's. It was what you humans call a "Halloween party." I was going for the food and drink; Sans was going because he wanted to. He was the one who dragged me along. I was planning to chill at home and hand out candy to the trick or treaters, but my brother had other plans. Because it was a Halloween party, some people were going to dress up. Sans wanted to be a superhero but didn't have any money to buy a costume. So, I decided to help out a bit. Using my amazing sewing skills, I made him a costume for the party. He wore it with pride and bragged about it to everyone he met. Heh, and if you didn't already know, the scarf and gloves he wears? Those were a part of the costume. He loves them. He only takes them off when he has to wash them- and by that, I mean he wears them in the shower..."
Papyrus continued to ramble as he stitched her arm together. Y/n continued to listen and to watch as his expression changed dramatically depending on what he was talking about. The pain from the needle seemed more and more distant as she became completely lost in his voice. Suddenly he became quiet, and he met her e/c eyes as he looked up. "...Did I do a good job?" he asked. Y/n glanced down at her arm.
She trailed her fingers deftly over her arm and the neat, tight stitches he had sewn through it. She looked at it in almost disgust, but gave him a small smile. "Yes...you did. Thank you Papy," she said, meeting his eyes again.
He grinned triumphantly and stood up, holding out his hand to help her up. She giggled and took his hand with her good one and stood up. "Excellent! The Great Papyrus was more than happy to help his fair maiden!" he proclaimed, pulling Y/n close and wrapping her in an embrace. She laughed against his thick hoodie and hugged him back.

I didn't even plan the last part with Papy, but I needed to post a longer chapter so....... I hope you liked the unnecessary hurt/comfort. 2658 words. Bruh-
I also have a severe fear of needles so it was easier to write. (laughs because I'm going in for fillings next week and having like 9+ needles in my mouth-)
Have a fantastic day/night, and thank you for reading! ^^
