"Shane!" Hailie's terrified scream was so loud that it could wake up the dead. She ran towards his body, covered all in red, but Lust stepped into her way and caught her, before she fell into the pool of blood that formed on the floor. "Let me go, let me go!" she started yelling and punching him on the chest, but his grip was strong enough to keep her in one place. "No, Shane, please!" Her face flooded with tears as she lost the strength to fight with Lust, who didn't want to let her go. "Please!" she cried, but there was nothing she could do to bring him back.

"He's gone, Hailie. I'm sorry, but he's already gone," said Lust, not seeing the point in letting her kneel in the blood next to the person she might have or might have not loved.

She cried once again, "No, no, please!" She had no idea how that could've happened, but her first thought pointed at Lust. "You did it! It's your fault!" She started jerking and hitting him just to get away, unable to bear the thought that Shane might not be living because of Lust.

"No, Hailie, it wasn't me." He caught her by the face, but then noticed that his hands were still in Shane's blood. "I tried to help him," he said and looked at Wrath, who was holding the blade. Hailie set her eyes at him as well and howled with pain. Knowing that it wasn't Lust, who killed Shane, she finally let him hug her. She snuggled tightly against him, hiding her face in his blouse so she wouldn't see anything else.

It was breaking his heart to hear her screams and cries, to feel all the pain she was feeling right now. Maybe he wasn't the one to kill Shane, but he knew that more or less it was his fault that the police officer was dead. He got what he wanted for so many weeks. And now that he had Officer Annoying out of the way, he regretted what happened. He wished to bring him back just so Hailie wouldn't be hurting so much. Just to see her smiling and relieved.

Her fragile body was shaking and she surely would fall onto the floor if it wasn't for Lust, who held her tightly, letting her lean onto him. She couldn't think about anything, because of the agony that filled her whole body, making it impossible to remain strong. All she wanted was to collapse and never stand up, buried in her pain, until it will be gone and she will be able to function normally.

"Lust, step away!"

Wrath's scream made him react instinctively. He moved back as far away from Shane's body as he could, dragging Hailie with him. They've both looked at what's made Wrath so edgy. Hailie instantly caught Lust tighter, not knowing what was going on. Shane's blood changed into black gunge that started spreading on the floor and climbing on the walls. It looked a bit like something that Hailie saw once in the house, only this time it was hundred times worse and more disgusting. It was slowly consuming everything on its way and the thing that was scaring Hailie the most was the fact that both Lust and Wrath had no idea what was going on.

"What's that?" Lust asked, thinking that it must've been connected with using the Boundary Breaker on Shane. Shit, he knew that breaking one of the most important rules couldn't bring anything good.

"That's the consequences of your stupidity." All of them looked at Greed, whose eyes burned with green flames, showing how furious she was. "What have you done, Wrath?" She came to him and snatched the bloody blade out of his hand. "Don't answer that," she sighed, certain that he killed Shane. She didn't even need to know the reason, because it wasn't important.

"You stole from me!" Sloth was angry as well, because that was not a cool thing to do. He was the one to find the blade and Wrath's ignorance have led to a catastrophe.

"I used the Boundary Breaker on him. I don't get it. It should work." He had no idea what was happening to Shane's body, but it was obvious that it was the blade's fault.
