"Is it because of late hours or just in general?" You asked. Levi stared at you for about a minute before he finally answered.
"In general."
You kept quiet and looked at him.
If this was all just in general then he is possibly suffering from insomnia which depletes humans sleep time. Although there are some cases that someone could be going through the same exact thing as him but not getting diagnosed with insomnia.
It just depends on the situation that caused this and to your belief you thought it was insomnia.
"Is it insomnia?" You asked out of the blue which caused Levi to look at you with a raised brow.
"Are you some type of doctor?" Levi says
"No just familiar with the action." You said. Levi stares at you before answering you back.
"Yes it is."
You both continued to stare at each other.
Right now it's seemed like you both were in a cave trapped together because the more you stared at him the more you became lost.
His dark blue eyes shared so many secrets and it was like he wanted for you to see it too. He wanted you to be able to find his secrets and eventually share some of your own.
This made you question more about his whereabouts and why he's doing the things he's doing.
The more you thought that it was a game, the more he continued to indirectly tell you that's it's not.
So what could it be then?
"Tell me about your past." Levi said still looking at you. You raised a brow to his statement which he decided to not speak on it but continue to stare at you.
"What about it? It's not that important." You said looking away from his gaze.
"I want to know." He said still looking at you.
"If I tell you then you have to tell me yours." You said looking back at him. Levi paused for a second before nodding his head in response.
"So?" Levi said. You looked at him and took a deep breath.
"Well, I didn't grow up with my parents, they died when I was at a young age so I barely remember who they are or how they looked like." You began to say. Levi had his eyes glued on you while you continued to speak.
"I grew up with the lady at the kids orphanage Mrs baker. She as you saw owned an orphanage for kids but the one I lived in was with a lot less children because it had less business, so that caused me to not get adopted into a family." You said reminiscing on the time that you would always wake up early so that you could see any new costumers.
"When I was a teenager I started to wonder where my real parents were, so I went to mrs baker so I can ask her. She told me that they died in a car accident with a runaway vehicle." Levi eyes still were kept on you while you continued to speak.
"This is when I became the person I am right now. I began to perform analysis that the car accident was intentional and not by an accident." You said.
"This made me join the police force on intentions to just figure out who killed my parents. When I couldn't find out I eventually gave up and decided whether or not I should stay or leave being a cop." You said.
"I obviously chose to stay because I decided to move on from them." You finished. Levi's expression changed when he heard the words move on.
"What made you move on so easily?" He asked.
"I don't really know. Maybe because I didn't really know them and I think the whole time I was working to find the killer, that it was just the rage of me not having a family." You said looking at him.
He nodded his head with a mixture of feelings.
"I guess it's your turn." You said. Levi hummed in response and sat straight up on his chair.
"I grew up in France with my mother. She took care of me when I was younger until she unfortunately caught a sickness and later on died, leaving me in the care of an asshole." Levi said with the thought of that person in his head. You thought about this asshole but didn't say anything.
"I then moved to Sina without setting a proper grave for my mother because the asshole wanted to be quick when moving. So that made me feel guilt in many types of ways."
The way he looked when explaining this was like he has became emotionless to the topic. You began to feel guilty as well considering how you explained to him that you moved on from your parents death so easily while it might've took him some time to do so.
"I then grew up and built my own business." Levi finished. You looked at him taking it what he said. Although he put it in such simple words, you could still feel how he felt about the situation.
What you thought was over, was actually not as he told you one more thing.
"Before all of this my mom used to always bring me to the Eiffel Tower as little vacations since she knew she was dyeing soon. The day we were going to go again she had a heart attack and died 30 minutes later not even being able to even get inside the hospital." Levi said looking at you.
"All of this made me feel the need to one day visit the Eiffel Tower for one last goodbye to my mother." Levi said.
"Why aren't you going now?" You asked.
"I can't leave the business alone by itself. You know what happened last time." Levi said. You nodded your head and sat back on your chair.
Having one person know your past felt weird and that person also being your suspect made it even more weird.
This whole time you forgot about the unsafeness of him knowing about you and your whereabouts.
But it seemed like you didn't care,
It's actually made you feel free
For what reason you didn't know
But sure was it a good feeling because you never felt better.
He made you feel something that no one has ever made you feel
He made you feel comfortable.
And if you do feel comfortable with him
Than maybe, just maybe
You wouldn't mind being with him just a little longer.
