Somebody to Love

The story his mom tells is most likely not real🤣 it very well possibly could've happened, but this was from my imagination.

"Mummy?" Arielle calls from upstairs. "I need help."

"Hold on, babe." Bethany says to Tom and starts heading to the girls' room. "Yes, honey?"

"I need help with these. They're funky." Arielle waves her white tights in the air.

"Okay, sit down then."

Arielle plops onto her bed and Arielle helps slide them on to get legs. "Is that better?"

"You did it perfectly!"

Bethany chuckles. "I've been doing it for awhile."

"Where's Bella?"

"With your Daddy."

"Okay. Can I wear make-up like you?"

"I don't know if he'd be okay with that." Beth says.

"He's let me wear it before."

"Out?"

"Well I don't know." Arielle shrugs. "But I've worn it."

"I'll do a little bit of blush and lip gloss, okay?"

"Okay, Mummy!"

"Sit down."

Bethany goes into her purse, she had kept it on her because they were about to leave, and pulls out a compact case and lipgloss.

"Make a fishy face." Bethany says and grabs the small brush. She applies it to Arielle's cheeks, forehead, and nose. "Okay, now for lipgloss." Bethany puts a little of the gloss on her finger and applies to Arielle's lips. "Go look in the mirror."

Arielle excitedly goes to the mirror and gasps. "I look so pretty!"

"You like it?"

"I love it. Thank you, thank you."

"You're welcome, sweetie. Let's go downstairs now, okay? We gotta go."

"Where are we going?" Arielle asks while taking Bethany's hand to walk downstairs.

"To dinner with your grandma and aunts."

"I know but what eating place?"

"A restaurant?"

"Yeah!"

"Um, you know, I'm not entirely sure, sweetheart. Why don't you ask Daddy, okay?"

"Okay."

They walk downstairs and Tom and Bella stand up. "Are you ladies ready?" Tom asks.

"Mhm."

"Look, Daddy!" Arielle runs up to Tom and sticks her face in his. Tom backs up so he can see what she's showing him. "I have make-up."

"Very nice, dear." Tom smiles and picks her up. "Okay, let's get a move on."

They get in the car and pull up the restaurant. He sees his mom's car in the lot. Tom was always early, but his mom was earlier.

"Come on, girls," Bella takes Tom's hand and Arielle takes Bethany's. They walk inside and get their table.

"Tom, darling," Diana exclaims to let them know where the table is.

"Grandma!" the girls yell and run past the tables to see Diana. Tom and Bethany softly chuckle and smile at each other.

"Hello, my dears."
