Chapter 28 (Special Chapter)

"Seungcheol-ssi likes you. He even admitted it to my daughter," Mrs Eun weakly smiled at me.

Seungcheol likes me? How?

The feeling is there again. I can clearly feel my heart race once again. Did I heard it clearly? Or is she joking? Probably that was an act, so Seungcheol would get away with the engagement, right? I can literally feel the butterflies again in my stomach.

Geez. What's happening to me?

I still helped Mrs Eun with her chores even though I know myself that I'm quite spacing out after what she said.

Everytime that it would pop up in my mind, my heart races. It's an abnormal feeling.

Should I go to the Doctor?

Maybe I'm still not okay after the incident.

"I'll leave this for a while. Don't touch the pot, it's hot okay? And also, can you chop those for me?" I know she's referring to the pot she used to cook some soup for all of us and also the ingredients that were left, "I'll put those in the soup once it simmers," and I absentmindedly nodded, "Once it simmers, call me." that's the last thing she said I guess and then she left.

I heard what she said, but it feels like I didn't understand a thing. I'm still spacing out.

Choi Seungcheol likes me? Maybe as a friend? But, if that's the case, why would Mrs Eun thought of me as a hindrance? Does he likes me romantically? Can someone tell me that it's not true? Does he really likes me? Are those just an act? I know he doesn't like Yeoreum, and I guess he just used me to call off the engagement? I guess that's it. Yes, Jeonghan, that's it. Don't think about it too much, I guess?

I was chopping the ingredients as I was spacing out when I cut a bit of my finger. It's just a small cut but it stings. I shouted instinctively due to the sting it causes. Then I heard a rushing footsteps and I saw Seungcheol panting. Did he run all the way here?

"Yah! What happened?!" He asked. I didn't know he's awake now. Mrs Eun also heard my sudden shout I guess, because she suddenly appeared in the kitchen with a worried face.

"Just a small cut. That was just an instinct shout. It just stings, don't worry." I said as I try to gesture that it's nothing, but he immediately grabbed my hand and scanned the small cut on my finger.

I roamed my eyes and I guess everybody's watching us and it made me feel uncomfortable. My cheeks started to heat up because of Seungcheol's actions. I saw Yeoreum standing there, glaring at me. She's leaning her body at the wall and she's crossing her arms.

"Even if it's just a small cut, it still hurts right? Come, I'll treat it," He said as he tried to hold my wrist in front of everyone.

"It's really okay. I'm just gonna put some bandage on later." I tried to convince him but he's not buying it.

"It won't heal if you'll just put a bandage. I'm gonna treat it with my first aid kit. Let's go," he said and hold me by my wrist and we walked passed by anyone in our way.

I took a glance on Yeoreum and I can see her eyes full of emotions. She's probably hurting to see her fiance caring about someone.

Wait, what am I saying?!

Seungcheol is her fiance and that someone I'm referring to is me.

Erase that bullshit, Yoon Jeonghan.

My thoughts were vanished away when Seungcheol opened the door of his room, which is also my room now. Seungcheol lended me his bed, but I refused and instead, I slept on the couch. I know we're both men, but some might misunderstood if we sleep together at the same bed.
