“Oh, but I most certainly did!” I giggle. “Where did you find the time to make all of this?!”
“While you were away packing to move in with me!”
“I was really gone that long?!”
“Indeed. Now you see why I was starting to become so worried about you?”
“I do now… I didn’t realize I was gone that long, Dearie. I’m so sorry.” He says as he looks over at me with a pained expression. “But I love these, they are unique and very lovely! Thank you, baby.” He gives me a tender kiss. “You’re welcome, darling. I’m just happy you like them. I know it’s not something you normally give to a guy, but I wanted to do something crafty.”
“I love them, I really do! Thank you again.”
“It was my pleasure!”
“Honey?”
“Yes?”
“What’s on that mind of yours?”
“What do you mean?”
“You’re trying to cover it up, but you can never hide anything from me. What’s bothering you?” He asks gently. “Nothing is really bothering me, but I do have a question.”
“What’s that, honey?”
“You said I would be the only one you would ever allow to celebrate your birthday with you. But what about our children? Wouldn’t you allow them to as well?”
“Oh, of course I would, baby! I should have worded that a bit different…. And speaking of children… How many are you talking about?” I can hear the hint of amusement in his tone of voice, causing me to blush again. “I um… well… However many you would be okay with having.” I’m sure my face is probably crimson red, causing him to giggle. He pushes himself over me, causing me to fall backwards. He looks deep in my eyes with a mischievous grin.
“I would be very careful with what you wish for, my dear.” He says with a husky voice, driving me a little crazy every time he does so. “What if I wanted 20 children?” I was probably the deepest shade of red there is as my eyes widened. It also seemed I had forgotten how to swallow, almost causing me to choke on my own saliva. Well… There was no more need to get me warmed up. It felt as if it were 100+ degrees in here now. He was now in a fit of laughter, presumably by my sudden reaction. I try to speak out, but my mouth had become dry.
“Oh, my love! I love you so very much! You do know I am just joking, right?” He says in between laughs. “I would hope so! I-I don’t think my body could even handle growing 20 babies!!” I try to exclaim, but my mouth was just too dry. As he realizes that, he hands me my tea and I quickly take a drink. When I finished, I handed him the cup back before he returns to his previous position – right above me.
“On a serious note, I would say I wouldn’t mind getting you pregnant…. Maybe 3 times. That is, depending on how well your body takes it. If not, well… we’ll just have to wait and see.” He says adoringly. “W-what do you mean?” I was confused. “What I mean is, some women get really sick when pregnant. Putting both the baby and mother at risk. Then there are others who do not like the process of pregnancy. But then, there are also those who love being pregnant, and love all the feelings that come with it. That also goes to say if they are lucky enough to not have to deal with the morning sickness too often.”
“You sure know a lot about this, don’t you?” I tease. “I have been around for almost 700 years, honey. I may have not had a baby of my own before or got anybody pregnant before, but I have known many women who have experienced all of that.”
