He did go slower and tried to be gentle until he finished. When Papyrus finally finished wrapping her arm, he placed it in a sling and tied it behind her neck. Y/n looked down and tried to avoid his eyes as he did so, her face once again becoming red. Gosh I hope he doesn't see my face...I hate this...Why can't I stop blushing? Geez, he's my friend. He's just a friend! Just a friend, he won't even think of me as anything more I know it. NO, NO, STUPID BRAIN DON'T GO THERE. DUDE I SAID DON'T-
"Are you ok there, honey?"
Her attention sprang back to the real world, her eyes meeting Papyrus's. His face was still relatively close to hers as he leaned in. "U-uh yeah," she said, her voice anxious and shaky. "Totally fine. Nothing's wrong at all. Nope. Nada. Nothin'. How about you?" She noticed his eyes flicker down to her lips, then back to her eyes. What is he...?
"Yeep. I'm fine to." He shook his head and backed up, sitting across from her once again. "You just looked...deep in thought, I guess," he added at length. Y/n nodded.
"I was thinking...about...how every time I have a broken bone, some... nice guy is there to help..." Sweet. Real smooth cover up. Her voice trailed off as she recalled the memories. Her father rushed her to the hospital when she broke her collar bone, Asgore helped heal her leg, and Papyrus helped her with her arm (both times).
There was a moment of silence, shattered only a minute later by a loud crashing sound coming from upstairs. Papyrus's attention whipped around in the direction of the sound, mumbling to himself something Y/n couldn't hear. "I'll be right back honey, that sounded like it came from Sans's room," Papyrus said as he stood up. "Make yourself comfortable, I'll grab some more pillows on my way down."
"Ok," she replied. Papyrus gave her a small smile and hurried upstairs. Guess I'll try and sleep on the couch then. Not like I can do anything else at least. She swung her legs onto the couch and fell back, hitting her head on the armrest. Cursing to herself she pulled over a pillow and fitted it behind her head and pulled on a blanket over her exposed skin.
***In the world of Hopes and Dreams our minds lock away. In a world of the subconscious where our imaginations run wild and free. Someplace, some people can't go to, even if their will is strong as iron and Determination as persistent as life. In here, we see a conversation only one should have heard and experienced***
What am I going to do? Papy'll surely ask who did this to me, and it's not like I can lie to his face. I'm a horrible liar AND he can see through me easily.
...
Can you suggest something? Anything?
I'm not entirely sure what you want me to suggest Miss Y/n.
*sigh* Should I tell Papyrus about Flowey or not? That's all I'm asking. Or could you give me some ideas on how to lie like a pro...?
I am not sure of the best option I am afraid. On the one hand, if you told him, he would know and probably become overprotective of you. He would most likely try to help - whether that be coming to your training and attacking the demon flower in question – or something else. I am not sure. Although telling him would result in his safety (and perhaps Sans's as well) would be "out the window." Flowey isn't ignorant and stupid, he is clever and surely knows if you've told someone or not.
On the other hand, if you didn't tell Papyrus, he and Sans would be safe from harm. You would have to continue going to these "training sessions" as he calls them, until he would...most likely...take over you in some way. I am not sure how he would, but those intentions seem close to true in my opinion.
... Dings that's not much help at all. UGH WHY DO THERE HAVE TO BE PROS AND CONS TO EVERYTHING?!
That's just life I'm afraid. But, it also depends on your perspective.
What do you mean?
What I am trying to say is do what you think is right based on your beliefs. I will not resent you for it, seeing as it's your opinion and your actions, not mine.
I have told you my opinion, and I have laid everything out on the table that I can think of at present. Whether you tell him or not is completely up to you.
...I guess you're right. Thanks Dings, I appreciate the advice. I'll do what I can.
I am happy to have been of some use. Hopefully Papyrus will take it well regardless of what you say.
What makes you think he wouldn't?
He tends to be...well, he can overreact. Especially when it comes to his family.
How do you know that?
I've had experience with him in the past.
So, you know him...? Like, from when you weren't...when you had a physical form you've been telling me about? From then?
In a cents, yes. Although you'd have to pay me for more information. If you didn't be a very poor exchange of a story otherwise.
...
You do know him then don't you. Wow.
=)
