S2 Episode 6: Velocity

This strikes Serenity's attention. "How did you know?", Bumblebee panted. 

At the base. "But, we got to find that blue racer. If I could just use my old turbo boosters...", Bumblebee trailed, while looking at his boosters. 

"Not a chance! Last time you used those things you nearly flattened Sari, Prime, and Serenity.", Ratchet pointed out. "It's not fair! Nothing on Earth is faster than me! Unless he's not from Earth. Think about it! Only a Decepticon could be that fast.", Bumblebee yelled out. 

"Perhaps. But, why didn't it attack us? Why did it just run a couple of organics off the road?", Prowl asked. "In any case, we can't have you causing more accidents with your turbo boosters.", Optimus pointed out. 

"But, Optimus! The last time Bumblebee used them for good, he had them under control.", Serenity tried to stand up for Bumblebee. "He may have, but this is different. If we get involved, more humans could be at risk." Optimus said. 

Serenity nodded and looked away. Optimus saw her, before grabbing her hand and took her aside.

"Serenity? Are you okay?", Optimus asked, concerned. "Yes. It's just... I know that vehicle.", Serenity stated. 

"From where?", Optimus asked her. "One of my friends on Cybertron. He use to be my bodyguard. One of the fun ones. But, he would never trash those cars, unless they were Decepticons.", Serenity explained. 

"Um... We'll get to the bottom of this. Okay?", Optimus said. "Okay.", Serenity said back. 

"Seri...", Optimus called out. Serenity stopped and looked at Optimus. 

"If the Decepticons get more Allspark fragments, they may try to take control of you at any time. Especially, if you aren't with me.", Optimus said. "What are you getting at?", Serenity asked, confused. 

"Okay! Um... Just hear me out... I feel it might be best if you stay close to the team. Or at least a part of the team... Just in case...", Optimus explained. He then stopped and looked up to Serenity. 

An unreadable expression was seen on her face. "Seri... I... We can't lose you. If Megatron got a hold of you...", Optimus trailed off. 

Serenity then stepped closer. "I think it's a good idea.", Serenity said. 

Optimus was now surprised. "Really? You always hated the bodyguards.", Optimus said, shocked. 

"Well, this is a different situation. I hated the bodyguards, because I felt like I could protect myself. But, in this case, someone else has taken control of me. Where I couldn't control my own actions. Plus, you guys aren't essentially bodyguards. You're just here for me.", Serenity smiled, before pecking Optimus on the cheek. This makes him blush, as she walked away.

Elsewhere in the base, Bulkhead was confronting Sari. "You lied to me! You knew those street demon races were illegal.", Bulkhead said. 

"So? It's not costing us anything.", Sari spoke. "How does paper view not cost anything?", Bulkhead asked. 

"Ugh! Fine, I pirated the signal. Big deal! You said so yourself. Those races are illegal.", Sari replied. "So, if they break the law, that makes it okay for you to do it, too?!", Bulkhead asked her, getting annoyed. 

"Lighten up, Bulkhead! We're suppose to be the fun bots. Remember?", Bumblebee spoke, while entering the room and sitting with Sari. "Yeah. But, we still have got to set up a good example. She looks up to us.", Bulkhead told him. 

"Hello? She looks up to everybody.", Bumblebee corrected. "Hey!", Sari yelled out. 

"Don't worry, big guy! I'll straighten the kid out.", Bumblebee spoke, as Bulkhead left the room. "Quick! Show me those races!", Bumblebee whispered, while handing Sari the remote.
