The two of them hadn't exchanged words their first year of high school, but they shared mutual friends so they knew a lot about the other. He knew all about her Quirk, everyone did. Word gets around fast, and with a Quirk like that, it only spread that much faster. [F/n] [L/n] was UA's walking nuke, and in all reality, still is.
"You haven't talked much about that title lately." Aizawa pointed out, his raspy voice holding a bit of softness to it. His elbows were now resting on her thighs, his position slouched.
"It doesn't bother me like it used to, or rather, it was never the name that bothered me. It was how others treated me." [L/n] answered honestly, quickly shaking her head, her soft smile still present. "Anyways, that's off topic."
Aizawa chose not to pry into it anymore, he wasn't the prying type. This was the first time he had ever heard her talk about her opinions on her infamous UA title, it would typically be brought up as mere fact, but this time, the conversation went differently.
And he was glad it did.
"That being said, Kaminari may not be the smartest student in this class, but his Quirk is strong, and so is his will. All he has to do is hone in on what he can already do, and learn to control his Quirk, and understand what it means to have that type of Quirk." Aizawa added, [L/n] knowing what he meant, that meaning the type of Quirk where you're treated as a threat, on the hero and villain side.
The two were silent after that, agreeing that it was time for them to just talk about themselves.
"How's your back doing?" [L/n] asked, looking down at the male who's elbows shifted slightly along her thighs, his body getting closer to hers despite how close they already were.
"Would you two do something with your lives already?" Yamada practically whined from the door, Kayama nodding in agreeance behind him.
"The hell is that supposed to mean?" Aizawa asked, his eyebrow raised, his voice low.
"You two are all up on each other all the time!" Kayama yelled, her eyes practically sparkling.
"And?" Aizawa asked once more, his tone as flat as ever.
"Oh you can't tell me there's no tension between the two of yooouuuu!" Yamada yelled, pointing finger guns at the two.
[L/n] laughed at Yamada's and Kayama's actions, enjoying Aizawa's responses as well.
"The only tension in here is the one between me and you two." He stated flatly, eyes narrow, elbows inching up even more against the woman's legs.
"See!?" The two heroes yelled, pointing at their insomniac friend. "You're doing it again!" The man scowled, not even noticing that he had done so until they pointed it out. He looked up at [L/n] as if she would help him get out of this situation, yet all she did was smile.
Sweet but sadistic I see, damn you [L/n].
"Look, all we're saying is that you two act awful lovey, yet have never exchanged any romantic words— that we know of. You're like an old married couple who never actually said 'I do'." Midnight pointed out. "You practically live together, you're partners, and you're constantly spotted together doing things." She added.
"That's true Kayama, but it doesn't mean anything's going on between Shouta and I." [L/n] spoke with a smile, finally putting in her own input. "Besides, I'm not his type."
Aizawa's eyes narrowed, whispering something very softly so that Kayama and Yamada wouldn't hear.
"Tell that to what happened in Kamino and London." He spoke with the slightest smirk that she could see from her angle, but was hidden from Yamada and Kayama due to his capture scarf.
"We're not supposed to talk about that!" [L/n] whisper yelled back, the smile never leaving her face.
"Some promises are meant to be broken."
She gasped. "Since when did you get sassy?"
"Since when weren't you my type?"
Silence.
Kayama and Yamada were losing their minds, they didn't know what words the two had exchanged, but their current facial expressions spoke to unimaginable volumes.
Aizawa appeared surprised, while [L/n] seemed embarrassed. Aizawa, who was surprised he said what he said. [L/n], who was embarrassed at the fact. If the two were honest with themselves, they knew the relationship they had was a strange one.
"Say it louder for those in the back." [L/n] spoke, a playful grin arising on her face.
"Tch, it's none of their business." The hero snarled.
"Oh, okay then. If you won't say it, I will."
Aizawa's hands clapped across the woman's face. "You say that to them, we'll never hear the end of it and you know it. Neither will our students."
"Amd I crew becase?" Her voice was mumbled and distorted due to the strong placement the males hand had on her mouth.
"You care because I care, that's why you care." He stated rather strictly.
"Oh? You awtually crew abot someting?" She raised an eyebrow.
"You two do know we're still here, right?" Kayama spoke up, Yamada too busy laughing his rear off.
The insomniac hero went silent after that, removing his palms from the woman's face, now standing back, arms crossed over his chest.
"I said, since when weren't you my type?" The man finally spoke, Yamada and Kayama losing their minds once again.
"Well, we better leave you two love birds to it. Bye bye!" Kayama yelled, grabbing Yamada by his hair and pulling him away with her, knowing he wouldn't leave otherwise.
"Anyways." Aizawa hissed, [L/n] laughing in response.
"Anyways, I better get going." With those words, she glided forwards off the desk, landing on her feet and right in front of the man, the two practically toe to toe.
"Already? That's different for you." He commented, raising one eyebrow up in suspicion.
"I just have something to take care of, that's all." Her bright smile warmed the man's heart, though that was nothing new.
He got the sudden urge to do something, and being the man he is, the blunt man he is, he followed through.
"Alright, well good luck, with whatever it may be." As he spoke his capture scarf wrapped around the woman's waist and brought her closer, the hero placing his lips against hers, if even for a short moment before the scarfs returned.
[L/n]'s cheeks became a very soft pink as she leaned forwards, returning the favor by giving him a short but sweet kiss before skipping out the door.
