It's really late but Dust steps in, "Wow Killer, you really did get everyone. Not a single soul left- What the..? What is this?" "Hi Dust! Welcome back! We were starting to get worried that you froze out there." I wave to Dust as he turns the corner and peeks in. He smirks, "Nah, I'm good."
Horror snores and rolls over, on top of Killer. Killer, who was focusing on the movie, freaks out from the sudden weight crushing him. I giggle, looking down, "You need some help?" Killer refuses, "I can do it on my own." Without a warning, he grabs one of his pillows and smacks Horror with it. Horror growls, sluggishly turning away, "Seriously?"
"That was his idea. I am no part of this." I state loud and clear. Dust chuckles, "With that hole in your skull, for a split second I thought you were dead." "Shut up, I am dead. I'm a skeleton." Horror replies, laying his head on one of his pillows.
I start laughing, "Maybe it's about time we went to bed. It's late and Horror needs the couch to sleep." Dust yawns, "Yeah, I'm tired too. Um, Killer... Ya wouldn't mind if Phantom and I stay in Pap's room? I'll sleep on the floor but I think my bro would be more comfortable in there."
Killer stays dead silent, tensing up. I can't see his face but I know him well enough to know that his bro is a sensitive subject. Sensitive subjects are a big no unless you want him having those little panic attacks or painful memories.
'Or whatever it is that triggers him to act all weird like that.'
I answer for him, "Yeah, that would be fine. I can help you set up a makeshift bed out of some blankets." Dust nods his head, "I can do it myself but thanks for the offer."
Sadly, we had to tear our fort down since Dust needed the blankets. He approaches the stairs, then stops and turns to us. Dust looks concerned, definitely an expression I haven't seen on him yet. He takes a breath in and asks Killer, "You're sure about it? I wouldn't mind staying in another house down the road or-" I thought I would have to speak up again but Killer beats me to it, mumbling, "It's fine. Please... Don't touch anything."
Dust looks to me and I give him a silent nod of permission. No doubt I'll talk more with Killer tonight, just to make sure he's okay. I'm glad that Dust cared enough to double check with him. He must be concerned about Killer's behavior too.
I stretch my arm out to pat Horror on the shoulder, "Hey, couch is all yours." "Yaaaaay.." I hear his soft reply and smirk.
'He really is out of it.'
Killer hasn't moved. I grunt while sitting up and grab the tv remote, turning it off, "We can finish this tomorrow. Do you think the others will be comfortable throughout the entire night? Should I make some glasses of milk?" Dust had made his way upstairs and into Papyrus' room. Suddenly, I hear him call out, "You should be more concerned about yourself right now. Ya get to sleep in Killer's room!"
'Crap, he's right.'
Just thinking about it made my heart jump out of my chest.
'What the heck am I gonna do?'
"I-I.. Um.. O-O-Only if h-he's okay with it." I stutter, even though there's no way Dust heard my response. My frantic thoughts are interrupted by more of Horror's snoring. He fell asleep again. Killer sits up and pushes on him a bit, "Dude, ya can't sleep on the floor."
'I guess Killer didn't hear Dust's comment. Thank goodness because that would be awkward.'
Horror groans, sitting up, "FiNe! I'M uP!" I get off the couch and step back, awkwardly messing with my hands. Horror takes one of the blankets and pillows with him, and gets comfortable on the couch, "Night."
