"Yes."
"Good girl." He smiled at you a little. "It's not time yet but we can now start walking towards the victim's house."
You met a few heroes patrolling around the area and they both know you, especially about the mission. They said they are very much willing to help and that you two shouldn't hesitate to call them. You've been walking for a few minutes now but the man still lingers on your mind. There's something about his gaze that makes you uneasy. Maybe Mr. Aizawa is right. He's probably one of our targets and that they know already. But the question is how?
"We're here."
You looked up and were surprised to see that the house in front of you was bigger than you thought it would be. It has a big gate and a wide yard. It's a traditional house that looks like it's being kept well. Mr. Aizawa rang the doorbell and to your surprise, a man wearing a suit opened the gate.
"Welcome. The young master is expecting you both." He said even though you haven't introduced yourselves first. "I am the head butler of this household. You can call me Kenji." He led you both through the maze-like corridors where anyone might get lost just by the looks of it. You took a lot of turns and soon enough, he stopped in front of a big sliding door.
"Young master, they are here."
"Let them in please." Your eyes widened at the sound of his voice. He sounded so young and vulnerable. "As you wish." Kenji turned to you both and motioned for you to enter. You bowed and thanked him before facing the young boy.
You internally gasped at Seta's appearance.
He looks horrible.
His eyes seem dead and you can tell he lost a lot of weight. He's just looking at the both of you and didn't even bother to utter a single word. Kenji, the butler, asked for the both of you to sit down and you did.
"This is the young master, Seta Kuromizu. He's 13."
"Thank you, Kenji. Please give us a moment." The said butler nodded before turning around and leaving to give you all some privacy.
You smiled at him but still no reaction.
"Hello, Seta. Nice to meet you. My name is [Y/H/N]. How are you doing?" He just looked away as a response to your greeting. You looked at Mr. Aizawa and by the looks of him, it's his turn to speak. You just wish he'll be nice because this kid looks fragile right now.
"Seta, we'll get straight to the point. Do you know the man who did this to you?"
Seta looked straight at Mr. Aizawa but after a few seconds, he averted his gaze.
"Is that a yes? I know it's hard but you need to cooperate with us so we can find justice for your family."
"What do you know about justice? Heroes do nothing." Your heart broke at the sharpness of his voice. You can feel the hatred he is feeling right now. You can't blame him for feeling this way. Heroes are not gods. They're not always there for everyone and they make mistakes too.
"I'm so sorry that you feel that way. I promise we will help you, okay?" You said. You inched closer to him and held his hands. "Help us and we will help you. Trust me." He just stared at you and to your surprise, his eyes watered and he wiped his eyes before mumbling a small 'okay'.
