~~At the village

The Arusians laughter quickly filled the village, causing us to laugh with them. Well, almost all of us.
I turned towards Keith, "You know, it's okay to smile once in a while."
"I'm not here to have fun, Y/N. I just want to get back to our mission and defeat Zarkon."
I frowned, "If you focus on that and only that Keith, you'll miss the good moments you could be experiencing now."
Before he could respond, an older and much larger Arusian approached all of us.
"I, King of the Arusians, formally beg your forgiveness. Please have mercy on us and accept our traditional Dance of Apology as atonement for our wrongdoings." He clapped his hands, "Commence Dance of Apology! Hoorah!"
Allura frowned, "Please, there's no need for this."
"Halt!" Yelled the King, "The Goddess has refused our apology. Start the sacrificial fire! We must throw ourselves in!"
We all turned towards the fire, wide-eyed.
"No!" Yelled Allura, "No sacrifices!"
"So, we may proceed with the dance?"
"That's a better alternative."
We watched as the Arusian danced, finally bowing at the end.
"Please, please, rise." Insisted Allura, "Thank you for that, but I am not a great being worthy of your worship. I accidentally put you all in danger. It is I who should be apologizing to you." She paused, "I am Princess Allura and these are some of the Voltron Paladins. Although we originally came from different worlds... and have very, very, very different traditions, we wish to live alongside you as friends."

Allura explained who Voltron was and we watched as something entered the atmosphere.
"What is that?" I asked.
Keith stared at the... ship? "Oh, no. We gotta get to our lions!"
As the boys tried getting to the lions, Allura and I guided the Arusians inside.
"Everyone get inside and stay down!" Yelled Allura.
"I'm on it!" Yelled Hunk following the Arusians.
"Not you." Keith grumbled pulling him the other direction.

"Little help!" Yelled Shiro.
"They're on their way!" I responded, "Allura and I are headed towards a cave to give the Arusians some cover."
"Be careful."
"I will." I paused, "Keith are you almost there?"
"Already am." He replied, "Guys, lay down some covering fire so they can get out of there!"
"I'm on it!" Said Lance.

~~In the cave

I looked out of the cave's opening to see a giant robot about the size of Voltron.
"Is that from the Galra?" I asked.
Shiro flew higher into the atmosphere with his lion, "I think so, but I've never seen anything like it."
"So what's the plan? Shoot at it with everything we've got?" Asked Lance, "Take out its weapon? Call it names?"
"If we want to take this monster down, there's only one way to do it. Form Voltron!"

They formed Voltron and the monster immediately started to attack. It threw its purple electric orb thing and Voltron flew out of the way. Then the Green Lion punched the robot, causing it to stumble. It drew its orb back in and hit Voltron, knocking it to the ground.
Keith grunted, "I thought Voltron was the most powerful weapon in the universe!"
"Yeah," Agreed Hunk, "So how is this monster kicking our butts?"
After getting knocked down time after time again and almost bringing the monster to the village, they decided they need a new strategy.
"We got him away from the Arusians," Started Pidge, "But we can't take him down!"
"I got it!" Said Lance, "I'm going to power-kick that orb thing!"
"No!" Demanded Keith, "The last time you did a kick, we fell!"
"Stop living in the past!" Defended Lance.
Long story short, the kick didn't work either and they fell. Again.
"Shiro, we gotta move!" Said Keith, "Shiro, are you there? Shiro!"
The orb was drawn back to its base, creating a noise.
"That sound..." Paused Shiro, "I recognize this monster from my time in Zarkon's prison. I know how to beat him! Listen, there's a loud sound when the orb returns to the base of the weapon, and every third time, that orb needs to charge up. That's this monster's weakest point. That's when we strike."
