I'm Not Leaving You (Keith Kogane x Reader)

Their plan worked and the monster was finally down, until it wasn't.
"Now what?" Asked Lance.
Shiro grunted, "When I attacked him before I had a sword."
Hunk gasped, "Orb! Orb!"
They were hit again.
"We can't take another shot like that!" Yelled Pidge.
"Wait a second, guys!" Said Keith, "I think my lion's telling me what to do."
I'm assuming Keith plugged his bayard into something in his lion and finally formed a sword. Just what they needed. He yelled and sliced the robot, resulting in a loud explosion.
"How did you do that?!" Asked Hunk.
Keith didn't respond, but I'm sure he was smirking.

~~Back in the castle

"The monster fell from the sky! It was an epic battle, but Voltron was victorious!" Yelled the King of the Arusians.
"Thank you, Your Majesty, for that... wonderful production. It saddens me that we must leave tomorrow, but we must continue our battle with Zarkon and spread peace throughout the universe." Allura pulled something out from her pocket, "Your Highness, please accept this gift. This will allow you to contact us anytime you need help. Arus will be the first planet in the Voltron Alliance."
He yelled, holding up the communication device, and the music started to play.

Hunk walked over to Keith, Lance, and I.
"We ought to get something like that."
"Like what?" Asked Lance.
"You know, like, a cheer. Like, a team cheer that we do."
"Mm-hmm. Yeah, okay. How about, uh... I say 'Vol' and you say 'Tron.' Vol!"
Keith paused, "Uh... Voltron?"
"No Keith." I laughed, "The instructions are in the cheer. Try again Lance."
"I say 'Vol' and you say..."
"...Vol...tron?"
"We'll work on it." Said Lance taking a sip of some drink Coran gave him. He had a weird freak out moment and gagged, "Coran, what is this?" He asked.
"Oh, this is Nunvill," Responded Coran, "Nector of the gods."
Lance held his mouth, "It tastes like hot dog water and feet."
"Yeah, makes a wonderful hair tonic as well."
I laughed and followed Coran towards Shiro.
"Not feeling well?" He asked Shiro, "Try some Nunvill. Settles the stomach and brightens your smile!"
Shiro looked out towards the Village, "I'm not sure we should be letting everyone wander in and out of the castle like this. It doesn't seem safe."
"Oh, these Arusians won't hurt anything... much. Besides, it's only fair to let them see the inside of the castle that's been sitting on their planet for so long."
"But who knows when Zarkon will attack again?" He said walking away, "I'm gonna do a perimeter check. Just in case."
"I'm coming with you!" I yelled running after him.
He turned once I caught up to him, "Why'd you want to come?"
"Can I not spend some alone time with my one and only brother?"
He laughed, "Why would you want to?"
"What do you mean, 'Why would you want to?' You've been gone for almost two years, Shiro. I want to know what's happened, what's going through your head. Since we've been here I've really only talked to you once in private. I just missed you."
"I missed you too." He said grabbing my head and sticking it under his armpit, rustling my hair with his fist. "So... what's going on with Lance?"
I felt my face grow warm, "Lance and I used to have a..."
He released me, "A what?"
"Thing."
"A thing...?" He asked a little amused.
"Yeah. When I was at the Garrison, him and I spent a lot of time together. That was of course before I met Keith, who I now spend more time with than Lance."
He paused, "So... do you... like Keith?"
"Shiro!" I laughed playfully pushing him.
"What? This is me trying to "bond" with you."
I rolled my eyes, "I mean... I don't know. I don't think I like him. I see him more as my best friend than anything else right now."
"Right now?" He smirked, "So you mean you would possibly date him in the future?"
"I don't know." I said shrugging.
"Well... you let me know when that changes."
I looked up and smiled at him, but heard a faint voice behind me.
"Shiro..." I turned to see Pidge, "I need to talk to you."
I glanced back and forth between them and figured whatever Pidge wanted to talk about was important, "Well," I sighed, "That's my cue to leave."
I waved at both of them and headed for the castle, finding Lance pouting in the bridge. Coran was there too.
"Mind if we join you?" I asked, placing my hand on his shoulder and sitting down besides him.
He nodded his head and turned towards Coran, "How far away from Earth do you think we are, Coran?"
"Let's take a look." Coran touched the control panel and activated it, revealing a map of the universe, "Earth is over here. And we're all...the way over..."
Lance sighed and stood up, "You ever notice how far the planets are from each other, Coran?"
"Yes. Haven't you been paying attention?"
"Yeah, but I mean, like, they're really, really far away. Like, say, Earth. It's so far, I can't even see it. The... the blue oceans, the white clouds, green grass... I... I can't see any of it.
"You miss Earth. I understand. I miss Altea."
"I know we're supposed to be brave paladins and Defenders of the Universe or whatever, but, honestly, I just want to go home."
I stood up and walked over to him, "I know it's hard Lance, but think about how amazing it'll be when the universe isn't at war. You and your family can finally have... peace."
He stared at me, "You mean... our family. Just because we aren't together anymore Y/N, doesn't mean they won't treat you like their own. My family loves you. Especially Veronica. You two couldn't get enough of each other. I know Shiro's back and all but try not to forget we're here for you."
I smiled, "Thanks, Lance. I'll make sure to keep that in mind."
Coran and Lance finished talking with each other, and we all finally started to head out of the bridge.
"Hey, Rover." Said Lance waving to the drone, "Wait... where's Pidge?"
The last thing I heard was Lance gasping while he jumped onto Coran and I, shielding us from the explosion.
