"Don't touch me, Emira."

Letting out a gasp, she took a step or two back from her brother, clearly in shock.

Edric was furious.

"And don't follow me either. You'll only be a nuisance to me." And with that, Edric fled the manor as quick as he could, grabbing some quick snails from a secret stash he had discovered while spying on his parents in the past. About 100 snails, to say the least.

'This should last me a while...' He thought to himself, somewhat oblivious to his sister's presence behind him.

"Edric, you can't just leave like this. You know what they'll do."

"And?"

"What? What do you mean, 'and?' Don't you get it? They won't show mercy!" Emira exclaimed, clearly dumbfounded by her brothers remark.

"I still don't see your point.

Still, didn't I tell you to stop following me? You're just gonna get in my way." He spat, not making eye contact with his sister.

"Fine. Whatever. Your loss,

Freak." Emira spat, Edric ignoring every word she just said.

Making it to the front door, he opened it gently but quickly, turning to give the manor one last disgusted look. Feeling all the memories rush back to him over the last few years: every downfall, every argument, every beating...

Feeling only hatred inside of him he took a deep breath as he balled his hands into fists. And then, he yelled. Loud enough for anyone in the house to hear.

"Fuck this manor."

"And with that, I left the manor that day. I haven't been back since, actually." Edric said, finally looking at the group. "I don't know what Emira's up to, what she's been doing, or even what Mom and Dad are doing except for figuring out how to execute that idea." Despite seeing his sister's face in front of his being full of tears, he couldn't feel any guilt for it as he knew this knews would absolutely crush her mental state.

"...My god." Eda spoke out, being the only one to break her stoic state. "I-" She tried speaking again but she couldn't. None of them could at all after the story they were just told. The room was just silent now, filled with sniffles as Amity had wiped her eyes, unknowingly getting ready for the next downfall to hit. She fixed her posture, and took a deep breath.

Sure, they were Blights but would Amity's parents really be true to their word and... and call a hunt with the Emperor just to find her?

That was the question of the night as Edric's words kept spinning and spinning in their heads, repeating themselves as if they were to be taunting their minds.

But, in the sad reality that it is, it was all the more true.

"Do we really need the Emperor's work, dear? Why would you make me ask for the Emperor?" Alador exclaimed, clearly taken back by the work of his wife.
