Just as you wanted to ask Minho if he really needed to be so cold, Gally was the first one to speak: "You really flirt with every Glader, don't you?"
Your eyes widened and you opened your mouth, just to close it shortly after like a fish. You were dumbfounded and tried to find the right words. "Okay now you got my attention" Newt exclaimed and let go of your hand he was still holding, to stand up and lean over the table.

At the same time Minho also stood up and, as he sat right beside him, grabbed Gally by his collar, "I dare you to say that again". Leo on the other hand seemed to be lost, he was both friends with you, Minho and Newt and Gally and as he was more on the shy side, he seemed to be indecisive what to say, but of course you would never blame him, as you were also not able to say a word.
"I'm just saying the truth and you know that" Gally continued, provoking both Newt and Minho. "Either you're blind and deaf or just simply dumb" Minho answered and Newt walked around the table to stand next to Minho, glaring at Gally. Both seemed as if they were about to beat Gally up and you were sure they would, if the other Gladers weren't around. After Newt also had stood up, many Gladers turned to your table to see what was going on. Especially those who disliked you anyway, looked at you as if it was your fault.
All the attention this situation got made you uncomfortable. You also didn't want Newt or Minho to look like they were the ones who started the fight. Eventually you were able to catch a clear thought, "Guys, it's okay" you practically shushed them and both Newt and Minho looked at you with a confused expression. "What?" Newt raised an eyebrow, "Y/n, nobody has the right to insult you like that" Newt defended you and kept looking at you. "Please, I don't want to make a scene" you continued, "really, it's alright".
You looked at Minho, who finally let go of Gally, who shoved Minho back and walked away. "I'm sorry" Leo apologized and you shook your head, "there is no need for you to apologize, Leo" you assured him. "Love, you know that this is not the truth, right?" Newt asked and sat back down beside you, taking your hand back again. You nodded "I know Newt and thank you..." you now also turned towards Minho "but you don't need to protect or defend me". Minho and Newt both looked away, clearly conflicted between rational and emotional thoughts.
All of you sat in silence, Newt still held your hand and Minho looked away in guilt. Leo was the one to break the silence: "I'll go to bed, good night". Minho nodded, you did the same and gave him a small smile, "Good night" answered Newt before Leo turned and walked away towards the Homestead. "Can you guys please tell me what was going on?" you finally asked Newt and Minho, "He was insulting you, it is as simple as that" Minho stated and you rolled your eyes, "That is really no surprise and by now it clearly doesn't get to me anymore" you explained, somehow it felt like Newt and Minho were more offended by Gally than you.
"But there is a difference Y/n. Gally clearly crossed a line here and I will not just sit here and listen to this shank talking klunk about the girl I lo- that is my friend" Newt claimed and furrowed his eyebrows. "Angel, honestly I don't regret anything" Minho remarked, referring to Gally. You let out a deep breath and looked between your friends, you realized that they will not give in. "I'm gonna talk to him" you announced and stood up, walking towards the direction Gally has walked before.
