She moved the phone without checking who was the caller. "Hello?" I mumbled quietly between her teeth.

"Hi!" Lydia's beaming voice echoed loudly through the speaker of the phone. The old lady siting next to Reese galring at her with a harsh glare made her lower the volume right away. She quickly flashed the fakest smile she had to the rude woman. "So, how are you?"

"I'm the sun itself, Lydia. At my apogee, really." She said with the tiniest bit of sarcasm. A silence passed before Reese realised what she just has said. Regret filled her body. "Sorry Lydia. I'm just... upset rght now."

From the farthest memory she had, Reese had always been this bitter yet caring person. At least, the latter side of the girl was more seen with Lydia and some of the rare friends she made during her time in Nevada. But you could count those friends with your five fingers.

Lydia was what you would call Reese's childhood best friend. The lot met during their time in kindergarden and kept contact since then. Both have been friends for ages now.

"I guess I'm okay." Reese rolled her eyes when the girl on the other side of the phone didn't retort. "Lydia, I'm fine. So, what's up?"

"What's up? Are you kidding?" The strawberry blonde exclaimed, tearing my ear in two different pieces at the same time. "Tell me you didn't forget what we talked about two days ago?"

"Me? Forgetting something? Lydia, who do you think I-"

Coughs

Reese sighed in defeat. "Okay, I did. But you can't blame me."

You could her Lydia laughing from afar, as if she was trying to conceal it. "I know Reese. You know I don't blame you. But don't think I will t you get off this easily next time."

The brown-haired girl felt the corner of her mouth go upward at Lydia's stubborness. And just as she was about to say something, an middle-aged voice interrupted her.

"Lyds, I have to go, my plane is here. I'll call you when I arrive okay?"

"What? Already?" She whined childishly. Reese chuckled softly and responded with a quick 'yeah' before turning her phone off and grabbed her baggages.

Slowly walking toward the entrance of the plane, Reese looked behind her to see Steven hot on her trail. When she barely laid a foot on the Californian ground, she quickly muttered a small 'good bye' to her fatherand ran outside.

After turning left, left and then right, she finally found Lydia's car. But it hadn't been easy. Beacon Hills airport was a real labyrinth.

Stiles rolled his eyes for what seemed to be the twentieth times as Scott tells him about Allison and the fact that he was proudhe didn't call for 3 whole months. Honestly, even him was chocked. But he was more mad at him because Scott wasn't listening to him.

Scott was constantly daydreaming about the huntress when all Stiles wanted to talk about was the arrival of a -not so new- face in Beacon Hills. Lydia's best friend.
