Chapter 5: Change

"Im not sure, what would I even do and I don't think I could handle the fangirls."

"Manager things?" Atsumu shrugged.

"You could come by practice today and find out? I'm sure coach would love to have someone interested in managing who isnt an Atsumu fangirl." Kita seemed really serious saying that last part. a small look of disdain on his face.

"You know what, why not? I need to start doing something with my life." Atsumu got really excited, Suna seemed unbothered, Osamu was just trying to steal your food, successfully at that, and Kita just smiled.

After your last class of the day you were kind of nervous to go to the gym. Actually, you didn't even know how to get there. Thinking about it you had never been to the school's volleyball gym, as you only really went to Suna's games when your parents made you and usually they were hosted at other schools. Walking out of the class you saw Kita waiting for you.

"I figured we could walk to the gym together." You smiled at him, guessing that Suna sent him to get you or something.

"Thatd be great, I don't even know how to get there."

You guys continued to walk in a comfortable silence making your way to the gym. Walking in it was total chaos. The twins were fighting, once again, and Suna was recording. Kita sighed, and turned to apologize to you but after seeing you not there he looked around to find you walking up to the twins. You had grabbed Atsumu by the collar and pulled him off of Osamu, bending down closer to their faces.

"What are you two doing?" The twins looked at eachother and then you.

"Um.. Nothing?" Atsumu gave you a cheeky smile and you raised a brow, making it fade as quickly as it showed up.

"Sure. So why are you on top of him?" Atsumu had slowly gotten out of your grasp, hiding behind Suna.

"She's so scary.." You sighed before walking away towards a bench to watch practice.

After that Kita called the team to practice and you just watched the whole time, helping when needed and refilling water bottles every so often. You were genuinely suprised when the coach asked you to be manager. You had accepted, partially because you had to join a club and because it was more time spent with friends. All in all you were pretty happy. You ended up getting Kitas number and you were added to the Inarizaki volleyball club chat. You were happy to finally have friends, at least genuine friends who actually cared about you. Walking out of the school to go home, Suna and the twins walking with, you didnt expect to see your ex waiting at the gate.

"Hey Y/n can we talk? I was gonna leave and then saw you in the gym and.. I waited." The twins looked at you and you just kind of shrugged.

"No thanks. Pretty sure whatever you're going to say is going to be negated by the fact I saw you kissing another girl this morning. Thanks for asking though!" You flashed him a smile, and he seemed to be angry. You had changed quite a bit in the couple of days since the breakup and it made him angry.

"What?" He put his hands into fists causing you to raise a brow.

"I said no, I didn't think it was that hard to understand."

"YOU'RE SUCH A BITCH! I tried to come apologize and work things out but no! You're too engrossed in your friends to even think about me." You laughed causing him to have a shocked expression.
