"Yes?" I respond, nodding my head, "Why?"

The purple-haired boy points to the bookshelf at the bottom of the stairs. There was one book on the shelf that had remained, even though I clearly remembered I had cleared every shelf of every book, like he said.

I got up, and quickly looked at the book. There was no title, name of author, description, nothing. It seemed it was just a normal black, leather-cover book. I then opened the book, to see only one word on the first page.

Mentokinesis?

"H-" I was about to ask Storm what it meant, when Sir Gavin came through the door.

"L-Lady Amelia! Sir Storm! There you both are!" He nearly shouted, sounding quite worried.

"Sir Gavin? Shouldn't you be with Lady Ceris and Lady Abigail?" Storm asked the man, who was trying to catch his breath at the doorway.

He looked up, his face showing pure worry, and anxiousness, "M'lady, you, Sir Storm, M'lady Ceris, and M'lady Abigail need to head to Dragonspire, NOW!" He shouted.

Storm and I look at one another, and back at the shorter man, "Why so urgently? Is everything okay with them?" I questioned, my voice shaking a little with worry.

"It's about the Dragon King!"

Myself, Amelia, and my grandmas, and of course little Olivia had finally gotten to the end, which took us all but thirty minutes. As soon as we got there, I could almost instantly feel a cloud of anxiousness, and tension hang over the whole floating island.

As we quickly made our way down the halls of the palace. None of the guards said anything to us, just that we needed to move quickly. Eventually, the four of us made it to my parents room, which was full of doctors, guards, and more people. However, there were two other people there, and both were very... recognizable, standing there.

Lance, and Clover! I thought, What are they doing here?

The two of them were standing in the middle of my parents room, a force field around the two monsters. Ceris ran up to the force field, and attempted to break it, and from the look of it, break the necks of the two people inside.

"Mommy? What is momma doing?" Olivia asked Abigail, a little scared for her other mom.

Abigail didn't answer, and we all stared, hoping she could manage to break it. Grandma probably would've succeeded if the force field wasn't as strong, and didn't keep launching her back each time she charged. Eventually, mom- who I didn't know was in the room- grasped her mom's shoulder,

"It's no use... that shield isn't coming down anytime soon." She said, mom's face stained with tears. Ellie held onto mom's arm, trying to stay with her it seems.

"How did this happen?" Amelia asked, walking over to us.

"T-The balcony door was unlocked, s-so I'm guessing they got in that way... I knew we should've been more cautious when I first felt her magic..." Mom said, looking like she was going to cry.

Abigail walked over, and hugged mom, "Don't worry sweetheart. We'll find a way to to get him out." She said, trying to comfort her.

"Well, the first thing we should do is get him to the hospital." Amelia started.

Ceris nodded in agreement, "Yes. If in case they do hurt him, the doctors can-"

"If they do hurt him in that realm there, it's no use to even try." Mom started, and we all turned to her, slightly shocked.

"What do you mean mom?" I ask.

"Mentokinesis magic effects your brain. It keeps your physical body in some sort of hypersleep, while you are mentally brought to a different realm. If you get killed there, unless you have some sort of other-body connection, the victim becomes braindead." She said, trying to keep her voice normal.

Amelia looked shocked, and started flipping through the pages of the black book we had found. "That's right. Though, I was suggesting it just so we know his condition." Lady Amelia said.

"Wha is bwaindead?" Olivia questioned.

Everyone looked at the small girl, kind of forgetting she was here. Ellie turned to Abigail and Ceris and asked, "Why did you bring her?"

Abigail sighed and answered back, "It was too short notice to get a sitter. Plus, I didn't know death was probably going to be our main topic today."

Mom suddenly grasped her forehead, and nearly hissed in pain. Everyone then turned to her, looking quite alarmed. "O-Okay... Storm, hunny, could you take her to get some ice cream, or something." Mom asked, her voice sounding like she was in pain.

Ellie pouted, and looked at mom, "Mum, you have felt like this for how long?" She questioned.

"Ever since we left Entity's base mainly..." Mom replied. "That would be... four days by now..."

"I feel like you might need to go to a doctor as well honey. I don't know what, but something is telling me this isn't food poisoning." Ceris brought up, taking the words out of our mouths.

"But mom-"

"Just to make sure..." Ceris said, taking mom's hand. She sighed,

"Fine, but I swear, you all are making a mountain out of a molehill." Mom mumbled, as stubborn as ever. Ceris leaned over and pecked mom on the forehead.

"Thank you. Now Storm? Do you mind taking your mom to the nearby clinic? I'll give you some money to take Olivia out for ice cream or something?" Grandma Ceris suggested.

I nod, and pick up Olivia, "Okay... c'mon sweetie, let's get some ice cream!" I say, shooting one last worried glance at my dad before walking off.

When we made it to the clinic, mom made an appointment to see the doctor, and it took about 20 minutes before she could go in.

"M'lady Stella?" The nurse asked in a high-pitched, yet soft voice.

Mom got up and turned back to me, "See you in about an hour or so. You two go get some ice cream or something."

"Okay mom. See you in a bit."

(Stella's POV:)

After I walked in, the nurse asked me why I came in to the office today. After I had answered, they wrote it down, and checked my temperature. Then the nurse left, and in came the doctor a few minutes later.

Like the nurse, she started asking me questions, however, these ones more detailed then the last ones. Like have I been more tired than usual, how often was I throwing up, how long have I been feeling like this, any pain or aching, etc. She just kept writing down the answers down, and nodding, till eventually,

"Well, I can determine that it isn't food poisoning you are suffering from. Your temperature is quite normal. However, m'lady, did you take a test when you started getting these symptoms?" She asked.

My eyes widened, as I realized what she was getting at. I slowly shook my head, "No... I didn't even think about that."

T-there is no way I could be... right? I began to think.

"Well, you can get a blood test right about now to make sure. The result will be back by the end of the day, to tomorrow morning." She offered.

I nod a bit hesitantly. I want to be positive about this, before I start worrying. I think, even though it didn't stop me from worrying.
