"Are you even listening to me?! Is any of this sinking in?" The goggles then deduced that the vial of dust was now unstable and was close to exploding.
Ruby seeing the results and such a reaction happening could only expect the worst, especially when she remembered handling the type of dust wrongly...and how it exploded afterwards.
"What do you have to say for yourself?!"
In a panic Ruby quickly stood and smacked the vial of dust upwards with all of her might, sending the vial of dust upwards. "Hey!"
"Hit the deck!!" Ruby yelled, pulling the girl she just now met down with her. The vial now away from danger was going critical and at a moments notice exploded afterwards.
Making a small crater away from them and anyone else. A girl with a Blake bow passing by suddenly looks towards the two and starts to walk towards them.
"Ugh!! This is exactly the type of thing I was talking about!"
"Hey! I prevented you from getting hit with that explosion at point blank!"
"Ugh! You complete dolt! I would've been perfectly fine! What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon?" The girl yelled to Ruby.
"W-well I..." Ruby said before getting cut off by the "snow princess" in front of her. "This isn't you're ordinary combat school! It's not just about practice and sparring you know. We're here to fight monsters!"
"Don't you think I already know that! I came here to Beacon to be the best Huntress I can be! Not just for myself, but my friend too!" Ruby refuted.
"Tsk! Then how could the "best huntress" out there not watch where she's going?!"
"I said I was sorry "Princess"!"
"It's heiress, actually." A third and calm voice said. "Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world."
"Finally, some recognition." Weiss Schnee said.
"The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners."
"Wha- How dare- The nerve of... Ugh!" Weiss angrily walks off in a huff as her helpers gather the luggage behind her and follow as Ruby chuckles.
"Hmph, what's her problem anyway." Ruby says, sighing. "At least I'm not the only one having a rough first day..." Seeing that she had help with the girl in black, Ruby thought about Yang's words.
Maybe...maybe this was her chance to get a friend. "So what's—?" Turning to the third person Ruby finds that she was walking away as well, the girl she was hoping to have a conversation with now a fair distance away.
Collapsing to her knees Ruby makes an off handed comment. "Why did I even try..." now laying on her back. "Welcome to Beacon." she says, putting her goggles over her eyes.
Soon after a shadow falls over her, "Hey..." looking up she sees the same blond haired boy from before who was puking his guys out in front of her reaching his hand out to her.
"I'm Jaune."
"...Ruby." Grabbing the hand offered he pulls her up and she lets out a smile. "Aren't you the guy who threw up on the ship?"
—
Later on the two were talking with each other, walking down another path that Ruby didn't know if it led to where they needed to go.
"All I'm saying is motion sickness is a much more common problem than people let on!"
"Look, I'm sorry, Vomit boy was the first thing that came to mind."
