Happier- Last Part

''Can't we continue this conversation over cake?'' you ask and smile because you are starving, not having eaten anything yet.

''Sure babydoll, cake sounds great'' Billie says and smiles at you.

Just as you walk into the dining room and everyone taking seats at the table, Madison sits next to Zoe, before she whispering ''Damn Y/N really is into hot blonde milfs''. Billie isn't just gifted with her medium powers however and also great ears.

''Thank you darling'' Billie replies to Madison and the blonde's eyes simply widen and her cheeks blushing in embarrassment because no one was supposed to hear that.

As you all eat the cake in comfortable silence while everyone is engaging in some small talk, like Zoe talking about her presents and which ones are her favorite, you can't help but admire your girlfriend.

Whenever you are in the same room as her, you seem to be so taken back by her whole appearance and features that you enter a different dimension, maybe heaven because her features and her delicacy manage to take your breath away each and every time. And the medium is well aware of the effect she has on you and she loves whenever her eyes travel to yours, no matter if at home or in a room full of people, you will always be looking at her with the same dreamy and adorable expression that causes her heart to flutter.

While Cordelia and Billie talk about how she found out she was a medium, your thoughts trail off and you can't quite focus on the story, besides having heard about the same Mexican ghost story a million times by now because Billie would regularly tell that story at parties or whenever she is doing interviews somewhere. So you allow yourself to trail off a little and think how lucky you are, sitting here with your family and also the most important person of your life, no anxiety or thoughts adamant, as you feel calm and relaxed for the first time since coming here and things feeling natural again, just like they did before you left the coven. 

''So how did you two meet?'' Madison asks, pulling you out of your thoughts and you instantly see the little smirk on Billie's face as she loves telling this story and whenever someone asks this. 

''Do you want to do the honors, babydoll?'' she asks but you shake your head with a smile and reply ''Go ahead'' and while Billie talks about all the details, you can't help but think of that day just like it was yesterday.

Around ten months ago:

It was a normal, crappy day just like any other lately. You only just settled in Los Angeles, about a month ago and found a tiny apartment but it took you ages to find a job. You were running late for an interview because you decided in the morning that in order to get through the day, you would be in need of some coffee.

However, you quickly learned it was a mistake because not only were you running late, somebody quite literally ran into you while you tried to walk out of the Starbucks and they tried walking inside, not seeing you as that someone was busy putting her sunglasses away. ''Oh dear I am sorry'' she instantly apologized and you knew that the day and job interview was done for.

''Let me try and clean that for you sugar'' Billie tried and cleaning it with some wipes but there was no point. ''It's alright really'' you said and she could tell how sad you looked, even after she offered to pay you for the ruined outfit or even take it to get cleaned. ''Can I at least invite you on some coffee, it's the least I can do after spilling this all over you'' she offered and you ended up agreeing, not having any better plans as you missed the interview.

You had never thought that day, that started out so bad, would soon become the start of something beautiful and that the stranger, whose name you quickly learned to be Billie Dean Howard would soon become more than a boss, after offering you a job because of the ruined outfit and interview and quickly growing into something more than that and you catching feelings for each other.

Both of you decided to take things slow and you appreciated that considering how your last relationship with Cordelia went but Billie was always there. She was so gentle with you, spoiling you, and always being honest with you after she noticed some insecurities and anxiety. After months of getting to know each other and you sharing some of the things that happened with Cordelia, Billie always made sure to never give you a reason to doubt her but she understood that you would often be clingy and afraid to lose her and she made sure to be there for you in any way she can and maybe that is another reason why you fell so hard for her.

It took quite a while until you called it official and technically, despite knowing each other for over eight months, you only started dating officially a couple of months back. When the invitation came around, you didn't want to go but Billie encouraged you and she was very happy when you asked her to come as well, not just because it meant a little break from work and a vacation with you but also because she wanted to get to know all these people you always speak about as your family better.

''Yeah that's basically how we met isn't it babydoll? very cliche'' Billie says pulling you out of your thoughts again and you smile as you remember that day and how a bad Monday morning turned into some beautiful sunny months with Billie so far.

''Damn I gotta start going to Starbucks more'' Madison jokes, before Zoe playfully punches her shoulder, causing everyone at the table to chuckle. 

''I am happy for you Y/N'' Zoe says and smiles at you and you almost get a bit emotional, being so close to all of your friends and family again. 

''How long are you guys staying here by the way?'' Queenie asks curiously and Billie explains ''Just three more days after filming is going to start again''.

''I can't wait for the new season'' Zoe says before Madison rolls her eyes and says ''Oh stop it'' and the brunette simply shrugging.

As you sit there, watching Billie, your friends, and your family talk so carefreely and without a single worry in this world, you feel truly happy for making the decision to come here. Even though, seeing Misty and Cordelia smile at each other and be all touchy, still sends a very small pinch towards your heart, you know that the universe made the decision for you in the end for Cordelia and Misty to be happy and for you and Billie to be happy.

You smile knowing from now on, things can only get better as you will always have a second home in New Orleans to go to and people to call family and amazing friends, not to mention your beautiful girlfriend Billie, sitting right next to you and looking at you as if you are her world, which in reality you really are.

''I love you babydoll'' she whispers as everyone is busy with their conversations and you find yourself blushing yet again as her hand reaches for your own, underneath the table.

A few hours later, as the night comes to an end and you and Billie decide to leave and get back to your hotel, Billie already making plans to drop in one more time before you would go back to LA, with Queenie and Zoe.

Cordelia walks you both to the door and while Queenie still talks to Billie about something, the supreme looks at you with a genuine smile. ''I am happy for you Y/N truly'' she repeats and you find yourself smiling. ''I am happy for you too Cordelia'' you reply before she adds ''I think you were right the universe had other plans for us'' she says before Billie finishes her conversation and takes your hand.

After saying your goodbyes to everyone including Cordelia, you feel relieved to feel Billie's safe hand holding your own and giving you a sense of comfort and safety and you know no matter what life might decide to throw at you, things will always be okay in the end.
