“Hey Ry, baby I am doing something important right now?” Ry? Baby? She said looking up at me in panic. I was frowning at her. she shot me an apologetic glance.

“Who are you here with? Your Dad or someone else?” she asked. Vince was next to me and we looked at each other. He shot me a curious glance and I just shrugged. Why was Lee so attached to her already. He never and I repeat never behaves like that with anyone beside the three male in his house. Me , Vince and George.

“So, you aren’t here to see me?” Though he was turned away from me, I could hear the sadness in his voice. Ellie- Ms. Rivers looked really panicked. Her eyes flickered from between me and Lee. She bit her lips and sighed loudly.

“Of course I am here for you. I just have something to do before , you know.” She looked around supposedly for his guardian. It was all a little funny to be honest.

“I am really sorry, Mr. Kellen.” She started apologizing. I didn’t fail to notice her hand on the back of Lee’s head. “His guardian must be…”

“DADDY!” Now that little imp noticed me. I am feeling very appreciated right now. Note the sarcasm. I caught him in my arms and picked him up as he threw himself on me. “I love you three thousand Daddy.” He exclaimed.

Ms. Rivers was looking shocked at us.
“I love you too champ.”

“Did you ask Ellie to come meet me, like you promised you would?” he asked. Oh yes! I totally promised that I will set up another meeting with Ellie when he was about to cry after waking up the other day.

I was saved from answering by the girl.
“He is YOUR son?” she exclaimed.

ELISE’S POV

“He is YOUR son?” I can’t believe this. Shit like this had to happen with me. I have no scope of getting this job at all. I know this. There is no way in world I will get this job. When I was selected out of the many applicants I had a little hope that maybe I can do this. But this interview is a disaster.

“This got interesting.” A voice said from beside me.

“Mr. Decker.”

“Call me Vincent or better Vince.” He said with a wink. “Why don’t we all sit down?”

I nodded ignoring the man who had been frowning at me ever since Ry ran upto me. OH MY GOD. He wouldn’t like me acquainting with his son after all I am a stranger. We all sat down with Ry between Vince and Mr. Kellen.

“I wanna sit with Ellie.” Ry whined and he looked so freaking cute.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea champ.” His father said and I could feel his eyes on me. It was so awkward that I had my eyes down on my lap.

“Please. Pretty Please.” The boy begged and I could see Mr. Kellen’s hesitancy in his eyes.

“Let him, Jay. I am sure, Elise won’t mind. Will you?” Vince asked me.

I shook my head. I wasn’t ready to speak yet.

“Yay!” Ry squealed and within a moment he was firmly planted on my lap. And mind you, he crawled from under the table.

“Ry! You could have hurt yourself!” I exclaimed at the same time at his father who said Lee, of course. Realising that I have just scolded someone else’s kid infront of them I smacked my hand over my mouth. And may I add, it hurt like a bitch.

“Sorry.” Ry and I both said at the same time. Ry had directed the sorry at me while I to his father.

“I am sorry it isn’t my place.”
